Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse...;P
Yes, as you can tell from the title things are getting out of hand;P Starting next week I'm working more hours at work, trying to get school stuff set up for next year, my parents have decided to (individually) drop by on me this summer (yay...as if things weren't already stressful this year), personal things are so messy I sometimes want to just shut out the world for like 3 weeks and just hide somewhere^^; I knew this pace was too much to keep up forever, but I'd hoped to be able to go at least a little longer...:S The reason I'm saying this is (besides the fact I need to vent a little;P) I'm going to have to cut back on translating somewhat>_< I feel awful, I honestly always want to do more and more, if I could stop time I would spend about a month just doing this and relaxing while everyone was in stasis, so that I could catch up to all the thigns I wish to do...but I think I have to stop wishing for something impossible^^; Now, that's not to say I'm just throwing in the towel by any means, I love it, I'll keep doing whatever I can, just a little less than I am now;) To give you an idea...I was spending about 24-28 hours a week translating. I was enjoying it too...but now that I'll be working more I just won't have that much time anymore^^; But I hope you'll all be happy with what I am able to do, as always I'll give it my all:)
That said, let's move on to something a little more fun:D The translation of the MMA from 07.02.03 with Ohno and Sho carrying portable shrines =)
[Announcer: Where could today's grandkids be....]
Sho: It's here, it's here, it's here! It's here!
Ohno: Hurry up and do it!
[Announcer: Yes. That was extremely rude. writing: Narration, Abe Chiyo (FujiTV announcer. Tochigi-ken, Shimotsuke-
shi. Announcer: The place the two of them have come to is Tochigi-ken's rural side, Shimotsuke-shi, famous for
dried gourd. writing: Shimotsuke-shi; famnous for dried gourd.]
Sho: Though this is rather obvious, I have a request regarding my mother.
Ohno: Yes.
[Announcer: This time it's a request from the daughter. writing: Client, Kuiryama Satomi-san (41). Announcer:
Her mother's protable shrine hasn't been carried lately and she seems to be quite sad about it. She says please
allow it to be revived once more with the strength of the grandkids! writing: Please allow Grandma's portable
shrine to be revived once more!]
Sho: Have you carried a portable shrine before? (writing)
Ohno: I haven't ne. (writing)
Sho: Why have we come here ne... (writing)
Ohno: And Sho-kun?
Sho: I did it a few times when I was really small.
Ohno: For this kind of thing it's Aiba-san isn't it? (writing)
Sho: Aiba-kun ne, goes to carry a portable shrine every year ne. (writing) For some reason, before he goes to carry
it he goes to see the make-up artist...
[writing: Festival Man]
Sho: Ohno-kun's going to carry a portable shrine, they're extremely heavy.
Ohno: About how many kilos are they? (writing)
Sho: Well, there's a fairly large amount right?
Staff: 500 kilos. (writing)
Sho: Seriously? She said it's 500 kilos.
Ohno: Ah, that's impossible, impossible, impossible! (writing) Impossible!
Sho: Let's go! Here we go! Here we go. We're carrying 500 kilos.
[Announcer: Though they want to see their grandkids,
they can't. (writing) There isn't a successor for the family business and the work is a lot of trouble (writing).
The members of Arashi go get involved with those Grandmas and Grandpas, Arashi's [Grandkid for a day] (writing).]
Sho: 'Jewel Hall'? It's here?
Ohno: Uwa, it's extremely elegeant.
Sho: Ohh, amazing, amazing.
Ohno: They do it this gilded?
Sho: Amazing!
Ohno: This is the first time I've had a proper look at one.
Sho: Yeah, that's definitely so ne. Excuse me, hello~. Hi~, good day.
Grandma: Hi.
Sho: Hello.
Grandpa: Hi.
Grandma: Thanks for your hard work today.
Ohno: This is amazing.
Sho: Grandpa makes these?
Grandpa: That's right.
Sho: Ehhh, that's amazing.
Grandpa: Because I don't have any other talents. (writing)
Sho: Oh, no no, even if you just do this...
[Announcer: Here are the portable shrine craftsman Grandpa, Ogawa Misaji-san, and Grandma Kume-san. writing: Ogawa
Masaji-san (76), born in Showa 05 (1930); Ogawa Kume-san (73), born in SHowa 08 (1933). On this path for 60 years!
Portable shrine craftsman. Announcer: The two of them had a marriage of lvoe in Showa 32. This year they're
facing their Gold (50th) wedding anniversary, a very close couple. (writing) The portable shrines Grandpa has
made thus far are, unbelievably, over a thousand. (writing) Starting with the Sanjou festival in Asakusa, his
portable shrines have been carried in festivals throughout the country, he's been on this path 60 years, an able
craftsman. (writing) He's also been named one of Tochigi-ken's intangible cultural assets, he's an amazing person. (writing)]
Grandpa: This kind ne, is a portable shrine that has a little history attached to it. (writing)
Sho: This one?
Grandpa: Yes. Though this one is a little worse for the wear, when compared to the golden temple like this one,
it's many times higher in value.
Sho: Eh? Speaking of which, about how much is that one worth?
Grandpa: Well, putting it conservatively, 35 million yen.
Sho: Seriously?? Seriously?
Ohno: We can't carry that thing! (writing)
Sho: It's that expensive!
Ohno: Amazing huh~.
Sho: What is the history that goes with this portable shrine? (writing)
Grandpa: I made it because Grandma told me [Leave at least one to be the household treasure], so I made this
portable shrine about 32 years ago. (writing)
Sho: Eh? So this is a portable shrine that you made for Grandma? (writing)
Grandpa: That's right, that's right.
[Announcer: 32 years ago Grandpa made this portable shrine for Grandma, as the Ogawa household's heirloom. (writing)
Up until three years ago it was an established custom to carry this portable shrine with Grandma's name attached
to it around town on New Year's Day. (writing)]
Sho: This has become unused?
Grandpa: It's unused.
Sho: Ehhh, even though you made it so elegeantly.
Grandpa: Well, to carry this, you'd need at least 100 people. (writing)
Sho: Eh, 100 people.
[Announcer: Grandma's portable shrine is also a precious treasure for the people of the town.]
Grandpa: Satoshi-san, I'm assembling this. If you could help me with it- (writing)
Ohno: Ah, this?
Grandpa: Yes, it'll become one portable shrine. (writing)
Sho: Eh, amazing! Grandpa, on a side note, about how much is this? (writing)
Grandpa: This, although it's a children's portable shrine, is a little big, so it's about 6 million yen.
Sho: 6 million...
Ohno: We're doing 6 million yen... (writing) Is it okay to do this...?
Sho: So if something were to happen, Satoshi-kun would pay for it himself! (writing)
Grandpa: That's right, that's right, I'd let him have it.
[writing: Beware, you break it you bought it.]
Sho: Let's split it between the five of us. If we split it between the five of us it'll be okay. (writing)
Ohno: MatsuJun seems like he'd get mad huh~!
[writing: Jun: "Don't be ridiculous!"]

Sho: So Grandma, shall we go cook lunch?
[writing: Trying portable shrune making. Announcer: Ohno-kun, it's 6 million yen. We're relying on you to do it
in a way that won't break it.]
Ohno: Where is this?
Grandpa: You should put that here. This you just slowly slide in bit by bit. Don't be scared, it's okay to
push it in. (writing)
Ohno: I'm scared! This is 6 million yen. (writing) Ah, it's okay like that? Is it okay for this string to be in
here too?
Grandpa: It's alright now.
Ohno: Ahh...but the string is wedged in there.
Grandpa: The string too...
Ohno: I was seriously trying to tell you about it;P
Grandpa: With this, the people doing it have to pay attention. (writing)
[writing: Passing the buck]
Ohno: Grandpa did that one! When you make one of these from teh very start, how long does it take? (writing)
Grandpa: About 5 months. (writing)
Ohno: Ahh, that makes sense huh. But 5 months, that's quick! That's quick, you make it in 5 months! Making this
seems like fun. (writing)
[Announcer: Ohno-kun is sucked in by the attraction of the work. He quickly is in a state of enjoying making
portable shrines.]
Ohno: This is fun. (writing) This is incredibly fulfilling huh, Grandpa.
Grandpa: You're already a pro ne, (writing) making it like that. You have good skills. (writing)
[writing: Fast!]
Ohno: A pro already?;P
[Announcer: At that time Sakurai-kun and Grandma are...]
Grandma: 50 years of marriage, the gold wedding anniversary. Up until I havent' ever been given one (a present)
by Grandpa. (writing)
Sho: A present?
Grandma: A present. Today I'm so happy (that the grandkids came) that I could cry. (writing) Something small,
even if he just gave me a snack.
[Announcer: Grandma says she's happier than anything that the grandkids came. (writing) Whereupon...]
Grandma: I'll leave it to you then, just the omelette, Sho-kun. (writing)
Sho: Ok.
[Announcer: Oh my, he's been asked to make an omelette for Grandma. A [Congratulatory~] omelette for these two
who are looking forward to their golden wedding anniversary, if you please. (writing)]
Sho: There's already zero felicitousness about it though. (writing)
[Announcer: Agh, it's burnt.]
Sho: Today, Grandma, I'll make it for you golden wedding anniversary-style!
Grandma: Yes. I'm looking forward to it. It's already nice ne.
[writing: Could it be?! (announcer)]
Sho: What is this? (writing) Grandma, what is this?
Grandma: A heart? (writing) Sho-kun's. No style... (writing)
[Announcer: At which point.]
Grandma: Ah, coming to the countryside made you think of your girlfriend. (writing)
Sho: Why?
Grandma: That's why you drew that heart.
Sho: It's the golden wedding anniversary, the golden wedding anniversary.
[Announcer: After thsi, the grandkids make an unbelievable miscalculation?! (writing)]
Ohno: Ah, I'm kind of nervous, it's 6 million yen. We're carrying this over there?
Grandpa: The value of it will change depending on the way it (the roof) is put on. (writing)
[Announcer: Ohno-kun is helping with the construction of a portable shrine. This time, it's the important method
of attaching the roof that will influence it's value. (writing)]
Grandpa: So now we just carrying to right in the middle. Once you do that it'll reach the place it goes in. Oh,
it's okay, it's okay.
Ohno: it's okay?
Grandpa: This is how it should be.
[Announcer: Carefully, nervously...]
Grandpa: It went in right? And inside there's another opening. Once it goes in there...
Ohno: oh!
Grandpa: That's it.
Ohno: Amazing, it's done!
Grandpa: ANd like this...it won't move anymore.
[Announcer: One way or another the 6 million yen portable shrine is safely completed. (writing)]
Sho: So then, up until three years ago that portable shrine was carried in this area right? (writing)
Grandma: That's right.
Sho: You've probably been wanting to see people carrying the portable shrine right? (writing)
Grandma: I love it. (writing)
Sho: Ne.
[writing: She wants the family heirloom portable shrine to be carried once more. Announcer: The memory-laden
portable shrine that Grandpa made for her. Looking upon their golden wedding anniversary this year, she wants to
see that spirit one more time. Skurai-kun heads for teh work area, with Grandma's emotions at heart.]
Sho: So?
Ohno: It's done!
Sho: Eh, you're kidding! Oh, amazing! Ohhh, amazing! Eh?
Ohno: It's surprisingly well done.
Sho: Is it easy? (writing)
Grandpa: To be honest ne, because I do the work with a concentrating gaze in an effort to remember, it was fast.
(writing)
[Announcer: Here Sakurai-kun has a certain proposal... (writing)]
Sho: Grandpa, today...I have something to discuss with you. Grandma said that [Guys carrying portable shrines
look cool]. Grandpa, it's been a while, so if both Satoshi-kun and I helped, how about carrying the
portable shrine again? (writing)
Grandpa: Ah, really?
Sho: Really. That portable shrine? Grandma's. (writing)
Grandpa: Since there are a large number of admirers of this protable shrine in this city, if we were to call up
those people they might gather together. (writing)
Sho: Amazing ne.
Grandpa: Since in that way, that portable shrine has some fame. (writing)
Sho: We're going to fly under the radar, so don't Grandma. (writing)
[Announcer: For Grandma's sake they're going into action, the grandkids and Grandpa. writing: The gathering of
able hands to carry the portable shrine has begun.]
Grandpa: Because we were wondering if there was a way to get Grandma's portable shinre carried, although we're doing
it by phone, we'd like to gather (people) with great urgency. (writing) Somehow.
Ohno: We ask for your favor. Yes, let's all carry it together.
[Announcer: The hearts of these three are greatly influencing others. writing: In the end, will they gather?!]
Grandma: Is that one already-
Sho: It's done.
Grandma: It's done?
Sho: It was over quickly. Satoshi-kun's got good muscles. (writing)
Grandma: Okay, then don't mess up, it won't be taken care of until you pay for it. (writing)
Sho: That's right, that's right. It'll be over once it's paid for. Uwaa, that looks tasty.
Grandma: It's still boiling.
Sho: This is the best!
[Announcer: Lunch is finished. (writing) Using local ingredients, this is Grandma's home cooking, full of affection.
writing: Fish-paste cake and devil's tongue jelly boiled in soy sauce. Egg noodle miso soup. Announcer: And...]
Sho: Let's have the golden wedding anniversary. This is the special omelette~.
Ohno: It doesn't suit this spread of food ne. (writing)
[writing: Sakurai's specially made celebratory golden wedding anniversary omelette]
All: Thanks for the food~.
Sho: Grandma, feed Grandpa some of the golden wedding anniversary omelette. (writing)
Grandma: Ah, this?
Ohno: Ah, it was golden?
Sho: The heart part.
Grandpa: Ah, so that means it's a heart? (writing)
Grandma: It's a heart, this thing here. I've never fed anyone before. (writing)
Grandpa: Ne? The flavor with love in it. (writing)
Grandma: Here!
Grandpa: Okay, you have to get it in on the first try. (writing)
Sho: Amazing, for the first try. Ohhh, congratulations.
Grandma: Thank you.
Grandpa: Thank you very much. Mm, tasty. (writing)
Sho: Really? You're kind.
Grandpa: This has good quality eggs ne. (writing)
Sho: It's the eggs! That's what it is! (writing) If you had to pick one or the other.
[Announcer: After the fun lunch let's head to the segment we always do!]
Sho: The grandkids want to hear this story. (writing)
Ohno: A long time ago Grandpa and Grandma were young! (writing)
Both: Lovey-dovey talk~! (writing)
[Announcer: The grandkids thoroughly ask about Grandpa and Grandma's lovey-dovey story. (writing)]
Grandma: Yes, we'll talk about it honestly. (writing)
Sho: yes, if you please.
Grandma: Because we got to have delicious things. (writing)
Sho: Ah, by all means, honestly. How did the two of you meet? (writing)
Grandpa: Ahh, we're cousins ne. She was cute, she was cute. Among the cousins she was by far the cutest. (writing)
Grandma: We were really cousins.
Sho: She was by far the cutest?
Grandpa: That's right.
Grandma: Say it! I want to hear it, so you want say it! (writing)
Grandpa: So, to be honest, she didn't know that I had a crush on her. (writing)
Sho: Grandpa had a crush on Grandma? (writing)
Grandma: That's right.
Grandpa: We mutually had crushes on each other. (writing)
Sho: So, although you both liked each other...
Grandma: Because we were related we couldn't say it. (writing)
Sho: That's right ne. Grandma, why did you start liking Grandpa? (writing)
Grandma: Because he was cool. (writing)
Grandpa: When I was younger I was completely different.
Sho: Eh? This- this-- who is this?
Grandma: Grandpa.
Grandpa: Grandpa.
Ohno: This is Grandpa?
Sho: Grandpa, you were a totally handsome man.
[writing: Age 26]
Sho: You're super cool! You were popular weren't you Grandpa? (writing)
Grandpa: Pretty much ne. (writing)
Sho: Ah, you were popular ne, so cool.
Ohno: You're cool.
Sho: Grandpa, how was it? Does it seem like people would gather? (writing)
Grandpa: When I called earlier everyone was kind of [Really?], really happy, [Then let's get together!], it was that
kind of call. (writing)
Ohno: What should we do? If only about 6 people show up? (writing)
[writing: Full of worry...]
Sho: It looks like there'll be more than that;P So...should we take this out?
Grandpa: I guess we'll try taking it out. Grandma might be touched by it. (writing)
Ohno: That's right ne.
Sho: It's Grandma's portable shrine ne.
Grandpa: That's right ne.
[Announcer: Grandma's portable shrine is heading outside for the first time in 3 years.]
Sho: If we dropped this it would be the absolute worst. (writing)
Ohno: The worst ne.
Grandpa: If you dropped this it would be a lot of trouble. 35 million. (writing)
Ohno: Don't say that Grandpa, it's no good.
[Announcer: However... (writing)]
Sho: Careful!
Grandpa: It's okay, it's okay.
[Announcer: Really, be careful! Because you're doing it in secret to surprise Grandma. writing: Keeping it secret
from Grandma as they take out the portable shrine. Announcer: So, will the plan of the three of them go well?
After this, Grandma is very touched by the hundred-person portable shrine surprise! (writing) So, I wonder if the
three of them have finished their preparations?]
Sho: It's been decided.
Grandpa: We're doing it.
Sho: We're all in twisted headbands and matching yukata ne. (writing)
Ohno: Ne, prettily.
[Announcer: And the people of the portable shrine admirers club are joining up. (writing) Without delay they teach
them the way to carry it. (writing)]
Sho: Can you cover your nervousness?
Grandpa: You guys are no good! You have to raise your voices! (writing)
{writing: Criticism!]
Grandpa: Really raise your voices, do it one more time.
[Announcer: Using voices filled with Grandpa's zeal, Sakurai-kun and ohno-kun are also suddenly getting into the
spirit of it.]
Grandpa: If I were to give point for it that would be 90 points. (writing)
Ohno: Yes.
Grandpa: So, since the people guiding it have th msot responsibility it's important that you-
[Announcer: At that moment... (writing)]
Grandpa: They've come, they've come.
Sho: An amazing number of people have come. (writing)
Grandpa: They came.
Guy: We've come to trouble you again!
Grandpa: Yes, thanks for your hard work!
[writing: Big procession]
Sho: Uwaa, amazing! Ehh? How many people?
Grandpa: About how many people did you gather? (writing)
Guy: About 100 people. (writing)
Sho: About 100 people?? Ah, thank you very much.
Grandpa: 100 people is just enough huh? All for this.
Guy: That's right ne.
Sho: Eh, excuse me. Ehhh, this is Arashi's Ssakurai and-
Ohno: Ohno.
Sho: Um, we ask for your favor.
[writing: Guys who get into good spirits easily]
Sho: Thank you. In reality, this year is Grandpa's golden wedding anniversary. Um, because this is Grandma's portable
shrine, Grandma's name is attached to this portable shrine. Eh, right now Grandma doesn't know about this.
We think we would like to show Grandma us carrying the shrine and Grandpa directing us. (writing) Eh, thank
you for gathering together on a weekday, we ask for your favor today!
[Announcer: Could Grandma have even dreamed that this many people would gather to carry the portable shrine for
her sake? writing: Grandma doesn't know a thing.]
Sho: Ah, hello?
Grandma: Yes?
Sho: This is your grandkid Sho...
Grandma: Oh my.
Sho: Um, I have something I want to give you, so is it okay if you wait in front of the entrance-way? (writing)
Grandma: In front of the entrance-way?
Sho: yeah.
Grandma: Yes yes. What could that be... Because he has something he wants to give me.
Staff: Ah, is that so?
Grandma: What could it be... (writing)
Sho: Perfect! She hasn't caught on. (writing)
Ohno: She hasn't caught on?
Sho: Yeah.
[Announcer: Finally, for Grandma's sake, the 100-person portable shrine has begun to move. (writing) Grandpa looks
happy at seeing his portable shrine revived after 3 years. writing: After this, Grandma is deeply moved. Announcer:
For the sake of Grandma's golden wedding anniversary Sakurai-kun and Ohno-kun have come up with this 100-person
portable shrine surprise plan. With the help of the townspeople and Grandpa's direction, they head steadily towards
where Grandma is.]
Grandma: Ah, it's a portable shrine! (writing) Sho-kun, keep going! (writing) Thank you! (writing) Thank you!
Sho: How was it Grandma?
Grandma: My heart is filled to the brim. (writing)
Ohno: You were surprised weren't you? (writing)
Grandma: I was surprised. (writing) I had no idea that you took it out of there ne. It wasn't in there. I don't
know when you took it out of there ne. (writing)
Sho: Grandpa said that you hadn't seen people carrying it, or him directing it, in a long time.
Grandma: Ahh.
Sho: So Grandpa appeared like this.
Grandma: You're cool Grandpa. (writing)
Grandpa: Thank you. (writing)
Ohno: No no, same here.
Grandpa: Thank you.
Sho: Ah, same here, it was the best ne.
Grandma: In return for earlier, let's shake hands.
Ohno: Ah, thank you very much.
Grandma: Truly, thank you.
Sho: It was the best.
Grandma: For 50 years (golden wedding anniversary) this was the most- (writing)
Grandpa: Fitting.
Grandma: Fitting, yes. (writing) Truly, my own portable shrine.
[writing: Parting]
Sho: Ah, Grandpa, Grandma, truly, thank you very much for today.
Ohno: Thank you very much.
Grandma: Thanks.
Grandpa: Thanks for your hard work, though it was cold.
Sho: It was the best fun.
Grandma: Thanks for your hard work.
Ohno: Yes. Thank you for this fresh experience.
Sho: Well then, the two of us have to go.
Grandpa: Well, please keep at it.
Sho: Thanks.
Grandma: Come again ne, if you don't have work.
Sho: To thank you ne.
Grandma: Because I cried that you came ne.
Ohno: Bye ne.
Sho: Bye ne.
Grandpa: Bye then~.
Grandma: You helped in many ways~.
Sho: It was the best.
Grandma: Thank you very much.
Grandpa: Goodbye, take care.
Grandma: Take care ne.
Grandpa: Look after yourselves.
Ohno: Thank you!
Grandma: Ah, take care! Keep at it ne! It really was a good day ne. (writing)
Grandpa: Because they were here huh.
Sho: But, after all, it was great to carry the portable shrine huh. That's kind of....and experience you pretty
much can't get.
Ohno: It kind of felt like a male festival huh.
Sho: A male festival.
Ohno: It kind of felt like we were cheering, it was interesting ne.
Sho: It seemed like it was becoming an event?
Ohno: It would have been interesting if we drank sake. (writing)
Sho: That's a completely no good comment.
Grandpa: Though I thought it would just be some strange show coming to play around with us, it was much better than
that.
Grandma: My heart is full, so nothing more- it was a moving situation ne.
[Announcer: Grandpa, Grandma, we wish you good health always.]
Ohno: Yes, which means that today we became grandkids for a portable shrine craftsman~!
Aiba: Ah, that's right ne.
Sho: Yeah, this time ne, we were carrying a portable shrine and we got very heated.
Aiba: Yes.
Sho: Lately have there been things that got you heated? (writing)
Aiba: Just a while ago, it was like [Please sign something]. (writing)
Nino: Ah, I see.
Aiba: Ne? They said [Ah, please write it on this], and gave me their cellphone. (writing) I was thinking, 'ah,
is this okay?'. But I thought 'Ah, I guess it's okay', and I wrote it out.
Jun: On the cellphone?
Aiba: On the cellphone. My signature. When I did that, it was like 'eh? Can you see-' It was navy blue, the cellphone. (writing)
Ne? So I was thinking, 'is it okay to give this to them?'...because the pen was black. But I thought 'well, I guess it's
okay' and gave it back. [Ah! Ah, if I catch the light I can see it.] (writing) That really happened. This
kind of, I was embarrassed but the people around me got me heated ne.
Ohno: The other day ne, I had a day off. (writing)
Nino: Ah, that seems heated ne! (writing)
Aiba: It became heated;P
Jun: After such a long time.
Ohno: I was just strolling idly through the city by myself. (writing)
Aiba: That's hot ne!
Ohno: Hot isn't it? (writing)
Jun: That's not hot;P (writing)
Ohno: I ate some dinner by myself. (writing)
Nino: Ohhh! What did you eat?
Ohno: Curry rice. (writing)
Sho: Ohhh, hot!
Nino: A 26-year-old man ate curry rice.
Ohno: Eating it made me feel good. Then when I was idly strolling again, there was a movie theatre. On a big
signboard, there was [Iwo Jima]. (writing)
Nino: Yes, although that's extremely familiar;P (as in, not formal)
Ohno: There's Ninomiya Kazunari! I was thinking, 'That's hot~'(writing)
Nino: Then ne, at the movie theatre?! (writing)
Ohno: Next time I'll go see it with Aiba-chan. (writing)
Sho: Go see it! (writing)
Hehe, after that slap in the face I can totally understand why Ohno doesn't want Jun mad at himXDD And who exactly wanted their navy cellphone signed in black pen??^^; Seriously...as if you didn't have some clothing you were't going to use again, a shopping receipt, anythingXDD Ah well...I guess meeting your idol kind of throws all that common-place thinking out the window;P Poor Nino, Ohno was right there and he just totally procrastinatedXDD His expression was too cute:3
Now, these may not be the most exciting clips, but someone asked for a translation of the mini-talk on MS last week (well, I think that's what they were getting at), and
Here is MS mini-talk:

And 2jichao:

**EDIT** Yay~, one more to add!:D

Also, because I love articles so much, I did Jun's March Wink-Up<3

with people who haven't read the original work, I think there may be some points where the person who has read the
original work might feel [Isn't this kind of different?]. But, we are persisting in using scenes from the original
work, so I think they're letting us do an evolved version of the [Hana yori Dango] drama we made last season. It
would make me happy if, by working hard and making a good creation, we can make people have fun.
The New Year's holiday? On New Year's Day I had a cold and slept (laughs). Because I had to hold back in the live
performance ne. I was thinking 'I have to recover!'...so while I was doing that New Year's Day ended. But, the
triumphant return concerts were great ne. What we did was great. It is our motherland after all, because the place
we normally live our lifestyle is in Japan ne. On top of which, the five of us gathering together to do live
performances so early in the new year was something we haven't done in a long time. I think it was great that we
could start the new year with all five of us. What was originally the content of the Taiwan performance became
the Korean and Japanese triumphant return performances...and it's also been decided for the performance in the
Dome in April. In addition to being sure about the Dome, even with the added meaning of wanting to properly do the first
one to start the year, in terms of results I think it turned out to be an extremely good thing. The guests also
looked like they were having fun, and the quality of guests was fresh ne...although I think it also might have
been because of the New Year, there were a lot of parents who brought kids, an increase in young men and such.
When looking at the guest seats there was a sense that this was probably the first time for a lot of them. That
kind of timing, and doing that kind of a live performance that was like a best-of album format was great ne. Also
being able to add on the new song. So in terms of all that, I think we were able to show ourselves in a 2007
complilation-style form with even more.
Because the drama and the five of us doing a concert, making a starting dash early in the beginning of the year has
has put us in fine form ne. We're also doing it while having fun. Putting that ambition for 2007 in a keyword?
Well, up to D has been settled huh. Let's see ne~...I guess it would be emotions, after all. 'Mind' let's say.
Other than that, 'gratefulness' = 'thanks'. For the sake of moving forward before digesting it, in the end I
was thinking it mnust be gratefulness. Although 'mind' also leads into that. That 'mind' is, as right now the
circumstances are such that you can see the things you will do beforehand, for the sake of moving forward among
those things, properly clearing the things in front of you one by one, day by day. Firmly having the motivation
to do them one by one. Keeping yourself in a high place, 'mind' = on a regular basis, being aware of your feelings
...that is to say, wanting to have that on a regular basis is my goal for this year. There's an extreme challenge
in that, it presents a slope that's hard to surmount, but I think it's in a set of circumstances that's extremely
easy to see. The goal itself is also easy to understand, because the field of vision when facing it is extremely
clear.
In turn because we are given that kind of environment, as we are able to finish one thing and move foreward I
also think in terms of gratefulness. If there are people standing in front of us, then there are absolutely people
working behind us. I think we should have gratitude on a regular basis for those kind of people, as well as the
people who feel something in relation to what we are doing. To rise higher you have to fix your gaze on those around
you as well, in addition to understanding the place you are in now I think you can't not strongly work out the
things you have to do. Therefore, having that strong 'mind', I want to make 2007 a good year.
Q: Are you thinking about the blueprint for the Dome performances?
A: Although it's not like I'm not thinking about it...it's from here on ne. Although an all-inclusive talk with
the staff about the set is probably planned for the latter half of January, I guess it would be then huh. We also
have a new song, so the songs we can do are increasing, I think the things we can do are also increasing...other
than that the measure (of time) is also different, so I think we'll probably also change the set list. But the
real planning is from now on.

Hehe, the last pic was part of the radio report, but it was too cute to existXDD Little santa hat;) Ahh, but it's so great that more people are coming to Arashi concerts for the first time, with any luck they'll be hooked and keep coming back:3 I know I would be...<3 And I like the way Jun talks about using force of will and positive thinking as a way to overcome obstacles, it sounds like common sense perhaps, but it's not always that easy to put in to action. But if you do manage to employ it, it pays big dividends I think;) It certainly seems to work for him anyway =) Watashi mo anna fuu ni ganbaritai to omoimasu:)
