We Can Make It^^

  • Apr. 21st, 2007 at 2:54 PM
relax
Well, apparently spring is over alreadyXDD It's been getting hotter and hotter for the last week, and last night it was so bad I had trouble falling asleep...which leaves me wondering for the Nth time why I live in a city where we have pretty much two seasons: Winter and construction^^; Winter lasts 6 months, Speing lasts a month, and in Summer there's construction everywhere because we're built on a flood plain and everything keeps settling...then one month of Fall and back to Winter^^; *sigh* Well, spring was ncie while it lasted...at least I have some really awesome thunderstorms to look forward to this summerXDD
Saa, moving along...this week it's the Shukudai-kun with Fukada Kyoko and the mouth-watering tempura marshmallows;P

SHo: Arashi's Homework begins~! How was Berlin?
Nino: Berlin was great!
[writing: Returned from the Berlin Film Festival]
Nino: I kind of brought some souvenirs today. Here, this is for Ogura-san.
Sho: Ah, is that so...
Ogura: You're kidding! Really?
Nino: Here here.
Ogura: Great!
Nino: This is amazing!
Sho: Oh, amazing!
Ogura: This is that thing.
Sho: It's been signed.
Jun: Who signed it?
Nino: This is Clint Eastwood's signature. (writing)
Sho: Seriously??
Ogura: Eastwood-san signed this?
Jun: Hey, bring some for us too!
Sho: It says 'Eastwood'.
Ogura: So, Nino could sign here too. (writing)
Aiba: Then I'll write mine too. (writing)
Nino: There's no need for you guys'!
Ogura: You guys have nothing to do with it! (writing)
Nino: I mean you guys weren't in it!
Ogura: You weren't even in it. (writing)
Sho: So, let's invite in today's guest. Today's guest is Fukada Kyoko-san, come on in! (writing)
00:51
{This week they're making various things coated in tempura, with unexpectedly tasty results, and Kyoko explains
her desire to be thought of as someone 'pink', leaving Arashi overwhlemed;P They reintroduce Kyoko and then Sho
asks if this is the first time she and Ogura have met, which it isn't...Sho asks them to explain and says it's
suspicious, so Ogura tells them that she came to his (daytime) show as part of her press tour for her drama, and
that he's been supporting her since she debuted, watching her movies and dramas for a long time. Jun says he's a
big fan and Sho says he's a core fan, which Ogura agrees to. Kyoko says she's also a big fan, and that when she
was on the show that time she asked him to take a photo-email during the commercial break. Jun asks who asked for
the photo and she says she did, and he can't believe it so they show it; Ogura says that at the time she didn't
say she was such a fan, that she just asked for it to commemorate being on the show. Then he goes on to say that
since a photo-email is something you send that means he doesn't actually have one himself, and everyone laughs
and he says he wants one and Aiba goes along with it.}
2:23
Ohno: So exchange phone numbers afterwards- (writing)
Nino: Why are you saying that?? It doesn't mean anything if you do it.
Sho: In terms of the other members, Matsumoto-kun was-
Jun: That's right, it's been a long time sempai.
[writing: Matsumoto * Fukada, alumni of Horikoshi Academy]
Kyoko: It's been a long time.
Sho: Who's the sempai?
Kyoko: Here. He's one year lower...it's one year lower right?
Jun: One year lower.
Sho: So did you associate with each other around school? (writing)
Kyoko: Um, well this is in terms of Horikoshi Academy, but at Horikoshi they have homeroom with everyone from the
first years to the third years all together. Both MatsuJun and myself were incorrigably late right? (writing)
[writing: Incorrigably late]
Jun: Well...;P
Ogura: So this was pretty much a celebrity class?
Jun: That's right, that's right.
Ogura: And so everyone from 1st year to 3rd year was all together? In homeroom.
Sho: Who else was there? (writing)
Ogura: Classmates.
Kyoko: Katou Ai-chan. (writing)
Ogura: Ai-chan.
Nino: Katou Ai-chan. Atou Kai-chan. (writing)
All: Atou Kai-chan??
[writing: Something like that~]
Sho: You mixed up the 'a' and 'ka'.
Nino: Katou Ai-chan, Katou Ai-chan.
Aiba: Atou Kai-san is the same as Ogura-san right now, in age right? 60 years. (writing)
Sho: We're here to talk about Fukada-san! The first homework if you please!
Ogura: Homework from Fukada Kyoko-san for the audience. Investigate and submit delicious gyoza, since Kyoko is
interested in them. (writing) You like gyoza?
Kyoko: I like gyoza the most.
Sho: How much do you like gyoza?
Kyoko: A whole lot! (writing)
All: 'A whole lot'?;P
Kyoko: A whole lot.
Ohno: Do you make them-
Kyoko: I do.
Ohno: -yourself?
Aiba: What do you like the most? What's your favorite gyoza? (writing)
Kyoko: I like the normal gyoza. (writing)
Aiba: Ah, is that so.
3:47
{The announcer says they selected from among the 313 submissions some gyoza they'd really like Kyoko-san to try. Aiba's
in charge today, and he says the first one is from a place in Shinjuku, Chicken-crest style steamed brown shiitake
mushroom gyoza, the also apparently pork in there. Aiba says it would be best to start with Kyoko-rin, and Ogura
asks if they don't need soy sauce, to which the server replies that you just eat them as is. Kyoko tries ones and
mumbles that it's delicious, then says there's a lot of meat inside. Aiba asks if she likes those kind of basic ones
and she says yes...}
4:30
Aiba: Isn't it great that she said she liked it? (writing)
Jun: Are you a friend of his? (writing)
4:35
{Next Ogura and Sho try it, and Aiba asks Sho how it is and he says 'perfectly delicious' through a mouthful of
one;P The next ones are made using spiny lobster and various other ingredients, including soft roe, crab, scallop,
shark fin and sea cucumber. Kyoko tastes one and says it's chewy and juicy and delicious, Aiba basically repeats
what she said for effect, saying that it must be tasty, and the announcer agrees. But that's the end of the normal
ones, next is the challenge section. They sent away for unusual gyoza from a Shinjuku restaurant called [Dining
Lea]. Aiba introduces the first ones, they're mochi and cheese gyoza, everyone agrees they sound delicious and
Ogura comments on how mochi and cheese go well together, Aiba agrees and asks Kyoko if she'll go first, and if she
likes this kind of thing. She says she does and takes one to try, Jun asks how it is and she mumbles 'delicious'
again, which everyone repeats, then she says that it's kind of ordinarily delicious. Ogura repeats it and everyone
decides to go in and try for themselves, leaving Jun asking if they're all going at once. Nino remarks they'd like
to move along and Jun asks if they're fine as they are, Sho tastes one and Aiba asks if it's good, if he can taste
the mochi and cheese, to which Sho replies that it's like eating garlic and cheese. Ogura points out the different
parts are the cheese and mochi, AIba asks if he can see them, and Jun says he can tell it's mochi and cheese. Aiba
says it must be tasty, and then moves along to the next ones, which are chocolate banana gyoza (drool). Sho says
they must be made with crepes and Aiba agrees, Nino says it's kind of like dessert and Aiba asks Kyoko if she's
okay to go ahead with something sweet, if she likes it, to which she replies that she's never had chocolate banana
before. Sho is shocked and Aiba can't believe it, she starts to ask about it...}
6:20
Aiba: It's banana chocolate. Banana with chocolate on it- (writing)
Nino: It's not something you need to explain!
Aiba: You've never had it before?
Kyoko: I haven't.
Aiba: You're kidding!
Ogura: It's banana with chocolate around it right?
Aiba: That's right, what about at a fair, at a fair?
Kyoko: I've never had it.
Aiba: You've never had it??
Ogura: Then we can't let you leave.
Aiba: Then we have to get you to try it. Without delay.
Sho: Since you're already here.
Aiba: Since you're already here.
Nino: At the fairs it's on a stick isn't it?
Sho: This is something you don't have to put sauce on?
AIba: With these you don't need it.
Ogura: If you put soy sauce on them it would be weird.
Kyoko: Ah, amazing.
Jun: Ah, but those look tasty huh.
Kyoko: It smells good.
Sho: They grill them right?
Ohno: They sell these at the restaurant?
Aiba: I don't have that info.
Ogura: These are snacks, snacks.
Kyoko: Delicious. (writing)
Aiba: Delicious!
Nino: They're officially delicious.
Kyoko: But it's okay if they aren't in teh form of gyoza right? (writing)
Aiba: That's fine right, however-
Ogura: But they're delicious right, these here.
Kyoko: Delicious.
Aiba: Today is gyoza-bound, so it's just a little... (writing)
Kyoko: Thanks.
Nino: Don't say gyoza-bound!;P
Sho: Captain, are you going to eat 'em?
Ohno: Yeah.
Sho: Probably.
Ogura: 'Ultra tasty!' 'Ultra tasty!'.
Ohno: Oh, super tasty!! (writing)
Aiba: Dessert gyoza are tasty huh.
Nino: You like chocolate banana right?
Ohno: Definitely-
Jun: These are tasty.
Sho: Ohhh, tasty~.
Aiba: Tastsy right, tasty right, that's right huh?
Ohno: These are tasty.
Aiba: That's right, but I made something even tastier. (writing)
Jun: Who did? (writing)
Aiba: I did.
[Announcer: Fukada Kyoko is speechless at Aiba-chan's homemade gyoza. (writing) Then, getting carried away, they
move on to some interesting tempura experiments. (writing) Before the taping Aiba-chan made some gyoza himself
using ideas from the audience, for Fukada-san's sake. (writing) But what exactly did he put in them?]
Aiba: Ah, Fukada-san, this is just in case but, this is called the Fukakyon (her nickname) bucket. (writing)
Sho: Oh, it's fantastically made.
Jun: Amazing.
[writing: Fukakyon bucket]
AIba: Of course we made it cute.
Jun: It's all sparkly.
Aiba: If by any chance those don't agree with your palate, if that happens you can just 'pitooey' into here. You
can turn around and do it. Just in case.
Sho: To have on hand.
Aiba: Okay, let's go.
Nino: If you please.
Aiba: The first handmade gyoza. Is this one here.
Kyoko: The first one?
Jun: Right? This-
Ogura: Show us!
Aiba: Tada!
[writing: Cha-han (Chinese-style fried rice) gyoza]
Nino: Ah this?
Sho: Those'll be tasty!
Ogura: These are the first ones right?
Nino: These'll definitely be tasty.
Ogura: Ah, go ahead.
Jun: After all, Chinese food is Chinese food right. (writing)
Aiba: That's right.
Jun: That'll be fine then. (writing)
Aiba: Two birds with one stone, yay!
Sho: Yay!
Nino: Yay.
Kyoko: What would be the best way to eat it?
Nino: You're intrigued aren't you?
Jun: These probably aren't dangerous.
Sho: Definitely tasty.
Ogura: Because they're cha-han. But, the ordinary gyoza would definitely be more delicious right? I've eaten cha-han
and gyoza and it was delicious.
Aiba: Delicious? it's delicious isn't it, although Ogura-san's somewhat right.
Kyoko: It kind of unexpectedly doesn't match. (writing)
Aiba: You're kidding~!
[writing: Even though it's Chinese food and Chinese food?]
Ogura: Surely it matches.
Nino: It unexpectedly doesn't match.
Kyoko: It unexpectedly doesn't match.
Aiba: Are you going to go to the Fukakyon box? You're not going to go yet?
Kyoko: I'm okay.
Aiba: You're okay, you're okay.
Sho: I guess those are no good~.
Ogura: I mean, if you put rice in this kind of gyoza skin, it can't be helped.
Aiba: Is that so?
Sho: if you have a full stomach-
Jun: This is unpleasant. (writing)
Aiba; You're kidding!
Kyoko: Somehow.
Jun: Somehow....the food texture is bad. It's overly bad.
Aiba: The food texture's bad?
Jun: It's beyond bad.
Nino: Mm, these are unpleasant huh. (writing)
Aiba: Unpleasant?? Ah, there it is, shall we move on to the next one.
Nino: These are really dangerous!
Aiba: It's dessert.
Jun: Dessert?
Aiba: Here I go.
Nino: Alright, tada.
Aiba: Tada, short-cake gyoza, yay~. (writing)
Jun: uwa, this is tough.
Aiba: Shall we go Fukada-san? (writing)
Kyoko: I can't eat short-cake! (writing)
[writing: Really?]
Aiba: That again!
Sho: That's really a lie isn't it?
Ogura: On her profile it says that she hates short-cake.
Sho: Really??
Nino: Then let's do paper-rock-scissors. (writing)
Sho: Let's do paper-rock-scissors, all together let's do paper-rock-scissors.
Aiba: Let's all do paper-rock-scissors.
Nino: Let's all do paper-rock-scissors.
Sho: Let's all do paper-rock-scissors.
Nino: Ogura-san can sit out for now, since Kyoko's in it.
Sho: Kyoko-san, for the time being let's do paper-rock-scissors.
All: First throw, paper-rock-scissors.
[writing: Nino * Sakurai * Fukada lose]
Aiba: Alright!
Nino: Look!
Sho: Alright~. I've decided!
Nino/Sho: First throw, paper-rock-scissors! Yayy!
[writing: Fukada loses]
Kyoko: Ah~. But I really do hate short-cake.
Nino: So, because Kyon-chan can't eat them Ogura-san will say 'then I'll eat them' for you. (writing)
Aiba: That's right huh?
Sho: I see.
Ogura: Then, I'll eat them. (writing)
Aiba: ogura-san, if you please.
Ogura: I'll eat them.
Sho: really?
Ogura: Because it really looks like you hate short-cake. I won't force you to.
Nino: If you please!
Sho: How about it?
Jun: How is it?
Sho: He's just chewing it over and over. (writing)
Jun: What happened?
Ogura: This is unpleasant. (writing)
Sho: The homework for Arashi segment~! (writing) So, exactly who is it today?
Nino: It's me! Your favor please.
Sho: if you please.
Nino: Today right, is a homework we received from Fukushima-san in Kanagawa-ken. They say that the day before they
went to a tempura restaurant and were suprised at how many things were on the menu. And furthermore they
were all delicious. They say they think there's still some potential left in tempura, and to please try it
out by all means! (writing) Which means that, today we're putting various things in tempura~!
All: Yay~.
[writing: Putting various things in tempura!!]
Jun: Oh my, what happened to you?
Nino: It's this here.
10:53
{The annoucner says that following right on the heels of the gyoza this time they're making various tempura. The things
readied are cake, coconut milk, banana, watermelon, tuna nigiri sushi, marshmallows, nattou and rice, baby tomatoes,
yogurt, and strawberries.}
11:04
Nino: First of all, which one should we start with? Everyone, which one do you want to go with?
Ohno: I think the marshmallows'll definitely be tasty. (writing)
Sho: They're probably tasty huh.
Nino: Marshmallows are tasty. There's nobody here who can't eat marshmallows right? (writing)
Kyoko: Yes. (writing)
[writing: Has a lot of likes and dislikes]
Aiba: Really?
Kyoko: Really.
Aiba: Kyoko-san has quite a few huh?
Sho: Out of the ones you can eat what is the one you like the most?
Kyoko: Strawberries.
All: Strawberries!
Sho: Then let's go with the strawberries.
Nino: We'll give her the strawberries. But if we just do the strawberries she won't be able to eat anything else.
So let's try it out with the marshmallows. (writing)
Aiba: That's right huh.
Sho: Let's go with the marshmallows.
Kyoko: Because I might be able to eat them right. (writing)
Aiba: That's right, once they're fried you might be ablee to eat them-
Nino: Don't drop them you!
Aiba: Alright! Then shall we move on.
Nino: That's his successful fighting spirit.
Aiba: When it comes to marshmallows it's this one here right.
Nino: You're going with that one?
[writing: Put on a coating with some thickness, fry in 180 degree oil for 15 seconds.]
Sho: I see.
Aiba: With this you do a little of this, a little of that, then like that you take it like this and put it in
just like that. That's the way to do it. Look.
Jun: That's still too soon!
Nino: It's okay.
Sho: He's never doen it before.
Aiba: Look. It's good enough, it's good enough. This is, to start with, Kyoko-rin's share.
Ogura: Kyoko-rin said that hates marshmallows didn't she?
Sho: So someone should it eat it first and if it seems like it would be okay for Kyoko-san, get her to eat it.
Aiba: That's right huh.
Nino: Then, that would be...the person who wants to eat it is. Matsumoto-san I guess.
AIba: Matsumoto-san.
Jun: Eh, but you know this, this here, is clearly something that looks unpleasant. (writing)
Aiba: But the marshmallow-
Jun: Pretty much this-
Aiba: -melting.
Jun: The marshmallow's melting.
Aiba: That's right, it seems like it has a good feel, melted like that.
Sho: Hey, if you grill them and eat them marshmallows are ultra tasty.
Ohno: Like pounded fish cake.
Nino: It's starch right?
Aiba: That's right, that's right.
Nino: Here Aiba-san.
Aiba: Starch is good huh?
Ogura: So you eat it Sho-kun.
Aiba: Tasty?
Jun: It's ultra tasty! (writing)
Sho: Seriously~?
Nino: Then there it is!
Sho: Seriously~?
Ogura: If it's ultra tasty-
Jun: It's seriously tasty!
Ogura: -Kyoko-san, try it and see? (writing)
Kyoko: I'll try it and see! (writing)
[writing: Fukada challenges!]
Jun: It really is tasty!
Aiba: Here, Kyoko-chan.
Ogura: You got the will to try eating it.
Ohno: What's it like?
Jun: You know ne...it kind of becomes like mousse.
Aiba: That's right.
Kyoko: Delicious! (writing)
All: Delicious?!;P
Nino: There we go! There it is!
Ohno: Amazing!
Nino: As you would expect of the boss!
Aiba: Leave it to me!
Nino: You really do it ne, boss;P
Aiba: Ne! Then I get the feeling everything might work.
Sho: Nicely fried, nicely fried.
Kyoko: I was shocked.
Sho: So, how is it?
Aiba: How is it Ogu-san?
Ogura: Super tasty! (writing)
Aiba: We've got a 'super tasty!';P
Nino: He said this's 'super tasty'. Then-
Jun: This is incredibly tasty.
Ohno: Incredibly tasty.
Nino: As you would think, the next one might work as well.
Sho: It'll work ne.
Aiba: Since we're already this far.
Nino: We're already this far. Here, boss, take this.
Ogura: The gyoza skin was really not needed.
[writing: Short-cake tempura; apply a silky batter, fry in 180celsius oil for 15seconds]
Nino: It's fine. By and large, for those watching the show just how long should it take?
Aiba: Ten minutes.
Jun: Hey you!
Sho: It'll burn!
Nino: Third degree burns...;P
Aiba: 10 to 15 seconds.
Nino: About 15 seconds.
Aiba: It's getting in my eyes, the short-cake. (writing)
Sho: Seriously?;P
[writing: Getting in your eyes??]
Ohno: From frying it. Frying it gets it in your eyes;P
Nino: Yes, it's finished, the tempura short-cake. Who wants to eat it~?
Jun: Okay, Ninomiya-kun.
Nino: Huh, there isn't anyone?
Aiba: So, should we do our customary janken? (writing)
Nino: Let's do janken! (writing)
Aiba: Let's do our customary janken!
All: Yay~! First throw, janken pun!
[writing: Ogura, Sakurai, Ninomiya, Fukada lose]
All: First throw, janken pun!
[writing: Ogura, Fukada lose]
Ogura: Hang on a sec, wasn't it the two of us who said we don't like short-cake earlier?
Jun: First throw, janken pun;P
Aiba: Yay~, okay, here you go Ogu-san.
Nino: He's no good ne, really. If you please.
Aiba: How is it? What?
Jun: What?
Ogura: Eh, there's candy like this.
Sho: Why did he give it to me??;P
Aiba: Does- does that mean it's delicious?
Ogura: That's right, there's candy like this. That taste like that. Ones that are bread-like.
Sho: This is so~ tasty! (writing) This is hot-cake. Are you eating it Ninomiya?
Nino: Yeah, I'm just about to eat it, I'm eating it. Hot-cake?
Sho: Yeah, this- we did it! This's amazing! Seriously;P
Ohno: Ah, this is super tasty! Super tasty!! (writing)
Sho: I love it.
Ohno: Just one bite ne.
Nino: So how is it?
Kyoko: Mm. It's delicious, but it's short-cake ne. (writing)
Sho: Ehhhh?
Aiba: Eh, is that so?
Nino: So, with that, let's got to the strawberries boss.
Aiba: Ah, let's go to the strawberries. With the strawberries I'm going to go with the thick one.
Nino: With the thick one.
Aiba: yes, the thick one.
Nino: Is that okay? You have to do three of them ne.
Aiba: You have to.
[writing: Tempura strawberries, coat in viscous batter, fry in 180celsius oil for 15seconds.]
Ogura: Be careful with it now.
Nino: It's okay now boss.
Aiba: Yes yes-
Nino: It's okay now boss!!
Aiba: Yes, it's okay.
Jun: Yes, they're cooked, they're cooked.
Nino: Please, we'd like to be able to eat them.
Jun: Yes, they're cooked.
AIba: Ah, but today, there's a lot. Shall we go to Kyoko?
Sho: Kyoko said strawberries-
Nino: Are something she likes ne?
Kyoko: I like them.
Sho: Then, isn't this perfect?
Aiba: It's perfect ne.
Nino: Something you like ne.
Sho: When you fry it.
Nino: When you fry it-
All: More than-
Nino: You like it even more right?;P
Aiba: Ah, ah, eh? Tender! (writing)
Kyoko: Ehh?
AIba: The strawberries are tender.
Nino: Boss, please don't say that ahead of everyone.
Aiba: Sorry. Ah, eh? Uwa!
Nino: That's right, that's fine boss. That much.
Aiba: Ah, this is- Uwa! Here.
Ohno: Won't these be tasty?
Sho: Yeah, definitely tasty.
Kyoko: Ah, it's true.
Ogura: Won't you like this too much too?
Kyoko: It's sour. (writing)
Aiba: How is it? Ogu-san.
Ohno: He's making a great face;P Ogu-san you're making a great face~;P
Ogura: Unpleasant. (writing)
Aiba: Unpleasant?
Ogura: Unpleasant ne.
Nino: Aiba-san, the experiment's conclusion if you please! (writing)
Aiba: The experiment's conclusion! Ogu-san... the experiment's conclusion. (writing)
Ogura: The experiment's conclusion?;P Well if if Aiba won't say it it can't be helped. The experiment's conclusion-
no idea. Kyoko, the experiment's conclusion?
Kyoko: Yeah, as you would think the standard way is the best ne. (writing)
Aiba: That's right~!
Sho: The best.
16:19
{Now it's time to take a look at the intriguing world of Fukakyon. Sho asks her if there's anything she works really
hard on becaause she wants people to see her in a particular way, and she says that everyone has this dream-like
image of celebrities, adn she wants to try her best not to ruin that. Sho asks for an example and she says that
since she likes gyoza of course she buys shallots when she goes to the supermarket, but thinking that it would
be bad for Fukakyon to be going around with shallots so she gets the huge basket when she's walking around and
hides them in the middle of everything. She says it's kind of sad, and Sho is in disbelief, but Jun says as you would
think there are things you can't show (of course he would understand;P). Kyoko says she thinks she has to properly
do those kidns of things and Sho says he understands; then Ogura says that in the past, the former actresses, the so-called
silver-plated stars had to watch out for that kind of thing, and that he thinks it's necessary for actresses to
do that. Sho says he gets it, and asks if she's careful about wearing western clothes and such, and Kyoko says that
in her everyday life she doesn't wear pink that much, but for work she puts on pink things, because she wants
people to think of her as a 'pink girl'. Sho is stunned and repeats it, saying that though she wants people to
see her in pink, she doesn't like pink? Kyoko says she likes it, but in reality doesn't wear it much. Which brings
Aiba to ask what kind of merit comes with being thought of as a 'pink girl'. To which she replies that pink is
kinda cute right? (...) Leading Nino to ask if Hayashiya Peh appears incredibly cute, because she's a pink girl;P
Next Sho asks if she has any kind of special items at home, and Kyoko responds that she loves 'Relakkuma' (relax-
bear?), a character, everyone is clueless so Ogura adds that it's a stuffed animal. Apparently a fairly big one too,
Kyoko goes on to say that she's constantly stuck on it. Sho starts to question that when Ogura begins laughing
cause he's caught sight of it, and says it's cute. Sho is amazed and Ohno can't believe how big it is, Kyoko says
that's it feels really good and to feel it and see. Sho and ohno agree, and she goes on to say that running and
jumping on it from far away is incredibly fun. Sho thinks it's great and asks where they sell it...and Kyoko draws
a blank;P Ogura asks if she has several of them at home, and she says she has lots of them, and that the theme of
her house is having toys thrown everywhere (??) so she just takes the relakkumas and chucks them all over the place.
Aiba asks how many she has that are this big and she says it's the only one...and Ogura butts in and says he really
does like stuffed animalsO_o Everyone is stunned and he says that there are stuffed animals that are really close
to actual animals right?}
19:04
Sho: Yes, the real-type ones?
Ogura: That's right, the real ones.
Nino: Embalmed ones? Embalmed?
Sho: You'd hug something emblamed?;P
Ogura: Not embalmed. Those kind of realistic ones, I keep them around my house, I like them. The feel of them's
good too ne?
Sho: Then let's make something! A Ogukkuma one!! (writing)
Nino: Oguma is fine! (writing)
Aiba: Oguma's great!
Nino: Let's make an Oguma on our show!
19:28
{Sho asks if there's anybody she admires and Kyoko says that she's starring with him in a drama right now, Oikawa
Mitsuhiro-san. She adds that she was a fan of his long before, but now that she's able to co-star with him he's
really a prince. Sho breaks in to say that they have a message from Oikawa-san (the announcer predicts she'll be
very excited)...going to the message Micchi says hi, and the first question they ask him is what's an unexpected
side of Fukakyon; he says that he's been able to be with her since they're co-starring, so he knows that she is able
to drink sake, and that she likes Champagne, appearing to drink it fairly often, so he encourages her to be careful
about it;P Then he tells her to keep it up, and he'll see her again. Jun says that people who wave and go 'hii~'
are amazing, and Sho adds that the 'ciao' at the end is too. Then Sho confirms that she likes champagne and says
why don't they have some;P}
20:45
Sho: There he is, the apportioning commander;P A reliable apportioner today as well.
Nino: Are you going to do Bambino today as well? Are you going to do Bambino today as well? (writing)
Ohno: How do you get when you drink? (writing)
Kyoko: How...mmm, I get very energetic. (writing)
Sho: How 'full of energy'? This much? This much?
Kyoko: I have times like that too.
Nino: There's that too, there's that too.
Sho: That too?
Kyoko: Aren't I full of energy?
Nino: She was full of energy.
Aiba: Act it out, act it out.
Nino: Yeah, 'Kyoko is~'. (writing)
Ogura: She really gets like that?
Nino: Yeah, gradually. Really, I was celebrating someone's birthday, in the middle of winter and we happened to
be drinking in the same restaurant, in adjoining rooms ne. That's when she got like that.
Jun: Have you ever forgot what happened when you were drinking? (writing)
Kyoko: Mm, well I can't say never ne. (writing)
Aiba: Can't say never ne.
Kyoko: Can't say never.
Aiba: You're only human ne. (writing)
Sho: Are you Aida Mitsuo? (writing; famous zen poet)
Nino: "You're only human ne';P
Ogura: Do you all have times you don't remember things too?
Jun: I definitely have them ne.
Ogura: Then you do?
Aiba: We do.
Ogura: You do.
Jun: We have that.
Kyoko: But you know, when I was drinking at the bar we happened to run into each other, and he was drinking incredibly
coolly. (writing)
[writing: Cool Guy Matsumoto!]
Ogura: Is that so?
Sho: What kind of feel, what kind of feel??;P How much-
Jun: Then hey, is it okay if we get her to go home now?;P (writing)
Sho: She's an actress, so it's no good;P
Aiba: What kind of feel, like this, like this?
Kyoko: Ah truly that kind of feel.
Jun: That's not it at all.
Kyoko: Just sitting at the edge of the bar like this.
Aiba: Patting everyone like this, patting everyone like this;P
Sho: Was Relakkuma there as well?
Kyoko: He wasn't there;P
Sho: Ah, is that so.
22:14
{Then Sho asks about the drama she's co-starring with Oikawa-san in, which, get this, is apparently titled "The
eraser inside my head"XDD It started March 13th, Tuesdays at 9:30pm, and her character is an ordinary
girl who turns out to have Alzheimer's. Ogura says it's based on the Korean movie, very sad, Nino says he saw it
and Ogura says it makes you cry at the end ne;) Next they do a short preview of O no Arashi, which I'm sure you've all seen
anyway (not me:S). The honor student is the one who suggested Tempura Marshmallows, they're still collecting submissions
for unusual ramen, and 'what did you do last night?' for Morisanchuu. Then they replay the part where Kyoko tells
everyone her giant bear feels good and to have a feel;P}

Haha, I can see Jun drinking really suavely and being the centre of attentionXD With a beer in one hand, in a trendy black jacket and jeans, leaning casually against the bar and alternately laughing and conversing loudly and watching the rest with a contented half-smirkXD *dreaming* That bear looks really comfy though, I want oneXD Running and jumping on it looks like so much fun...^^ Other than that, I really don't have too much to say about FukaKyon...she was kinda quiet, and just on the verge of getting on ymnerves at all times...she never quite got there, but it seemed like there was something about her that would really bug me if it came out blatantly^^; And seriously, what's wrong with shortcake?XD Mmm, I really want to try those tempura marshmallows:D Yummmy~:)

Also, Jun's articles from the May issue of Duet, one from Bambino and one for Kiiroi Namida:)

Matsumoto Jun - Hero Interview

Are you still continuing your cooking practice?
[The practice I'm doing right now is things like dicing onions, tossing things with the frying pan, well, that
kind of area. Although I'd sometimes do some cooking at home I'd never learned the details at the basic level ne.
Which, I say although it doesn't mean right now I'm learning from the basic level.]
Has cooking become more fun from continuing to practice?
[Yeah, cooking is interesting. Even with the same ingredients and the same methods the flavor is after all different
to something made by my teacher or a real chef. Because cooking is something that changes just from one little
thing. The depths of cooking are really profound ne~. That's why doing it so incredibly fun. It's particularly good
as a change of pace right now. Since I'm also learning how to make pasta if I have time I even make it at home.
There's times when it goes well and times when it goes badly (laughs). Because I hate losing even though it's
to be expected that my skills would be different from that of a chef it's still frustrating when it turns out
badly. Putting the drama aside I even want to improve my cooking skills in my private life ne.]
This is the first time you've had a role in a particular discipline in a drama.
[Yeah. In terms of disciplines, the thing I've been doing continuously as a job is something like dance ne. I
didn't hate cooking to begin with. It's just that buying the ingredients and cleaning up afterwards were bothersome
so I didn't do it much.]
There was a result from the discipline.
[Lately there have been unexpected moments where I'll feel like something stinks like garlic, and it turned out
to be my own hands. I feel like that's fine as it is, even though it's there after I wash with milk ne. Although
I also plan on changing my hair, as part of my character creation, what I'm going to do is a secret. The only thing
that's certain is it won't be Doumyouji hair!]

Hehe, I suppose since this is released later that we have already seen his new hairstyle in the latest Shukudai-kuns, I lvoe it:D Very cool and summer-like...and no more Doumyouji baachan perm;P I wonder if he'll got surfing again this summer...:3

Now, the Kiiroi Namida part...or should I say Murasaki NamidaXDD

When have you cried lately? Why?
+ When I was watching a documentary on TV that focused on a girl who was a specialty nurse. I was moved to tears
by her way of living.
What's the most frequent reason that you shed tears?
+ Although it's difficult to limit it to just one thing, I suppose it would be something along the lines of crying
when my heart is swayed.
When you see a girl cry...?
+ It's a case by case thing. Depending on what kind of tears they are. But, I don't hate it when they're real tears,
in that kind of situation I think I'd want to have sincere contact from my end as well.
What were some tears that left an impression on you lately?
+ Lately I'm dicing onions ne. But, because I wear contacts I don't get tears when I cut onions. So, when I tried
taking out my contacts as an experiment to see what would happen, I was super~ teary (laughs). The tears you
shed cutting onions are unique ne.
Please tell us an interesting incident from the [Kiiroi Namida] set.
+ My filming time was only 4 days, I can't talk about an interesting incident since it was over in the blink of
an eye (laughs).
Please tell us an event concerning a member other than yourself on the set that elft an impression.
+ Because I entered practice for the play [Byakuya no Valkyrie] at the exact same time I really didn't see much
of the Arashi members. So then when I entered the movie set seeing Aiba-chan playing guitar after not having
seen him a long while was incredibly impressive. Although I knew that Aiba-chan would be playing guitar from
reading the script, it was kind of fresh (laughs).
Please let us hear about a "youthful" incident of yours.
+ Talking all night about various things with classmates in high school. When I look back I think of it nostalgically,
I think even now about that period, but I think I was definitely inexperienced ne (laughs).
Your own impressions on having seen [Kiiroi Namida]. Go ahead and include advice for the people who will see it
from now on!
+ Although it's depicted in a long past world view, I think the things that the five people we portray are worrying
about have universal elements that carry over to the current generation too. By all means see it, and from there
I think you'll bee able to feel something.
What are your current thoughts, looking ahead to the Dome concerts?
+ It was one thing that I've always wnated to do someday, so being able to make it reality makes me incredibly
happy. I want to come into the concerts in good form ne.
Please tell us about your recent state.
+ Lately I'm doing nothing but work (laughs). But it's fulfilling. I dice onions to reduce stress ne (laughs).
Because you're using a carving knife you need the ability to concentrate ne? That becomes a good change of mood
ne. Then I make tomato sauce, eat pasta. The only real trouble is the clean-up (laughs). Although I wash up
within an hour of eating, it would be great if I could get speedy enough to the washing-up while making it ne.

Haha, taking out your contacts to see what would happen, baka ka?XDD That's too cute;P Hmm, I didn't know it was contacts that kept you from getting teary, I always just used to think it didn't work on me...so much for that theoryXD He really does spend a lot of time with onions lately though neO_o And garlicXD I like how he said that there are things that cross the generation gap, that's a very interesting way of looking at the plot...I'll watch it with a little more attention for that now:3 I look forward to seeing his improved cooking skills on MMA:D And being moved by seeing a documentary on a nurse...I love that sensitivity he has<3 Issho ni sono you na bangumi wo mitaku naru, onaji you ni sono kuukan wo kanjiru hazu dakaraX3

Tiny little bonus^^ [info]tenjostyle asked me to translate the little captions on the photos in AAA that the members took, and since there doesn't seem to be any other translation of it I thought I'd post it here too:) Just disregard if you've seen it already^^;

Credit for the scans goes to Arashirin@Vox, thank you! I tried to comment but it wouldn't let me^^; First, Aiba:

Just read the translated captions and laughing SO HARD. Nino's pictures are so amazingly WTF. I mean, Jun's hairy knee? Mongol Man? Nino apparently likes to take random photos. Also, it amuses me to no end that he thought it necessary to take two photos of Ohno staring off into space. I guess the ability to just do/think nothing at all for any lenght of time is still a fascinating subject for twitchy Nino... or he just needed an excuse to take even more photos of Ohno.

And you're right, the last picture really is peaceful. I love pictures where people fall asleep while reading, or something similar; and in addition to that I often fall asleep like that, especially during hot summer's days, so it reminds me of my own lazy days, which is nice. (Especially, since the weather in my city has decided to welcome winter again. Well, at least I'm not in Finland, where it is currently snowing.)

Haha, I'm so glad you enjoyed themXDD Nino's photos are so much fun because of their randomness, and I lvoe that he backed up my theory that Ohno's spacing out is just plain no brain activityXDD I'm sure they would have all been Ohno if he'd felt it wouldn't be weird;P
Pictures of people sleeping calmly make me feel so relaxed<3 I'm sorry it's still winter there, hope it warms up soon>_< I'm glad I'm not in Finland tooXDD I wouldn't mind being in Vancouver though;P

ZOMFG!!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH FOR TRANSLATING THE AAA PHOTOS!!!!
I just "re-read" them 3 weeks ago, when I finally finished learning and being at ease with my kanas, so the first thing I did was reading aaaaaaal those tiny photos comments in AAA (and in Arashigoto (mind you, in Arashigoto, it was easier (but harder to describe their wrintings)), took me approximatively... 5 hours, I was happy when I was able to "understand" something XDDDDD)
I so love that you can recognize who wrote what, you don't need to say the name XDDD (I love how Sho is, as always, talking about food, and being all "T no Arashi" on us XDDDDD~)
Nino's comments were the best <3
>>>>>>> (Ohno)[Probably...not thinking about anything at all.] (TWICE XD Well that's what I thought when I saw the pictures)
Riida gets a mention too XDD~
>>>>>>> [This is just shot in the middle of rehearsals.] (This is normal Riida's face during work XD )

And thanks for the "namida" translation (AND THE EYE CANDY ZOMFG *droped one eye*)

I was also expecting his to be more descriptive in terms of emotions and thougts. However, the things he chose to comment on are pretty typical of himself, I suppose. Jun is so deep and thoughtful, even when talking about cooking...and Sho...jeez, tour guide is right. Too by the book. But because it's Sho, the over-seriousness is uber cute.

So thanks for always translating all these - I really look forward to the Arashi no Shukudai-kun translations - especially the episode you just did! ^_^ Being Jun-bait, I love the magazine articles about Jun that you translate - looking at the magazine itself, I finally understand what the actual article is about!

Anyways, thanks again for all the hard work! ^_^
