relax
Ohayou minna~:) Well, it's been quite an eventful week ne;) The first performance of We Can Make It on Heyx3, it was so good!<3 Although, the last pose at the end made me cringe a little...;P But the costumes and the singing and dancing were all awesome, I'm very happy at how well it turned out:) Can't wait to see the PV itself, which is supposed to be out...well, today in JapanXD The part in the CM where they slide down the poles was so cute, I want to see it again and againXD And yes, I'm working on translations for all teh shows that just came out, please forgive the time lag, I really am trying to do it as fast as I can^^; Unfortunately, rigfht this very moment I feel myself coming down with a cold, so that's probably not going to help any...but maybe I can use a few sick days at work, lately it's been abysmal anywayXD Okay, enough of that, Nyanchan-style staatoXD

*Edit* Okay, I started this post last night before realizing photobucket was down for maintenanceO_o I was hoping tehy'd come back up in time but...no such luck;P I'm currently downloading the PV from Jpopsuki (cause it's 195mb, I want the best quality<3) and am officially sick now^^; Which means no work...but still, being sick sucks:S But I found some cute new summer shoes on the way home from my appointment, so yay!XD
This week it's the MMA from 07.03.17 with Sho and Aiba and their magical matching underwearXDDD

[Announcer: Where could today's grandkids be?]
Aiba/Sho: Right here~!
Sho: Which is to say that we've come to Chiba-ken, Yokoshiba, Hikarimachi.
Aiba: I see!
00:15
{The announcer repeats the name of the place, nearest Kujiukuri beach, and also a leading producer of green
onions in the Kantou region. Today's request is from a person that's part of an agricultural cooperative, who
says that a neighbour who happens to be a green onion farmer has a request for the boys...}
00:36
Aiba: Since this is from a green onion agricultural cooperative for a green onion farmer then that means it's
green onion-related ne?
Sho: Of course that's got to be it ne. Shall we go? (writing)
Aiba: Shall we go?!
Sho: Let's go!
Aiba: Do you know the thing we've been incredibly close about lately? (writing)
Sho: What? I said [Let's go]. (writing) Didn't I say [let's go]?
Aiba: We've been incredibly close lately.
Sho: 'We' as in us?
Aiba: Us.
Sho: Why?
Aiba: Is it okay if we just show our underwear? (writing)
Sho: The same~!
[writing: Brothers?]
Aiba: We have the same underwear!
Sho: Yeah, your favor.
Aiba: Your favor.
[Announcer: Though they want to see their grandkids, they can't. (writing) There isn't a successor for the family
business and the work is a lot of trouble (writing). The members of Arashi go get involved with those Grandmas and
Grandpas, Arashi's [Grandkid for a day] (writing).]
Aiba: Ah? There she is, there she is!
Sho: Eh?
Aiba: Grandma's there.
Sho: Ah, there she is, there she is!
Aiba: Grandma!
Sho: Hello~!
Aiba: Hello!
Grandma: Hi there, thanks for coming this far out. (writing)
Aiba: Oh no~.
Sho: It's nothing.
Aiba: Ah, grandpa!
Sho: Hi There!
Grandpa: Welcome! (writing)
Aiba: Yeah, welcome! Hi there~. Grandpa, come over here~. Ne.
Grandma: Grandpa said that he's never had a rival so he's kind of embarrassed. (writing)
Aiba: Embarrassed? Please favor us today Grandpa. Ne?
Sho: Your favor please. I'm Sho.
Grandpa: Ah, Sho-chan. (writing)
Sho: Your favor please.
Aiba: Sho-chan. And Masaki ne.
Grandma: Your favor please.
Aiba: Masaki.
Grandpa: Ma-kun. (writing)
Aiba: Ma-kun.
01:53
{Grandpa is the onion farmer, Kawashima Michinori-san (1933), and Grandma is Kuniko-san (1936). The two of them had
an arranged marriage in Showa Year 30, and they've been making delicious green onions for the last 53 years. ANd
apparently grandpa has an unexpectyed request for the grandkids...}
2:15
Grandpa: In the afternoon there's a softball match. (writing)
[writing: He wants them to participate as helpers in a softball match!]
Sho: Eh? Grandpa's playing softball even now?
Grandma: He said he wants you to do it with him.
Aiba: That's why, look look. Grandpa, the fact that you're in this (National Tournament) means you were the
overall victor? (writing)
Grandpa: I'm not the overall victor. (writing)
Aiba: You're not the overall victor?
Grandpa: Mmhmm, though I was the representatives for Chiba-ken. (writing)
Aiba: Oh, that's amazing!
2:38
{The announcer says that 10 years ago grandpa played in the National Tournament both as the representative for
Chiba-ken as well as the captain. Even though he's now 73 he's still guiding the local team. But for grandpa today
is his last match in active duty. Aiba and Sho ask if it's his retirement match and he says that it's not so
big as to be a retirement match. The announcer says that grandpa talks about it with a smile, but the reason he
has to retire is...}
3:06
Grandma: They surgically removed an early-stage cancer. After that his physical strength went down...it seems
that in terms of physical strength it's impossible now. (writing)
Aiba: Ah, is that so?
Sho: Does it seem like Grandpa will be able to do it today? (writing)
Grandma: Today he'll work hard-
Grandpa: A little. Just a little. So I rented some uniforms for you for the match this afternoon. (writing)
Grandma: Please wear these and play in earnest. (writing)
Sho: We are?
Aiba: You're kidding!
Grandma: It's true!
Aiba: Then I guess I should get changed without delay. (writing)
Sho: You're early! (writing) Not yet.
3:33
{The announcer says that once given the uniforms they're both quickly raring to go, upon which Sakurai...}
3:40
Sho: Grandpa, when I was in elementary school I was a softball pitcher. (writing) Not that I pitched, but I was
a pitcher.
Grandpa: Then Sho-kun is the pitcher! (writing)
Sho: Please leave it to me! I'm Bambi! (writing)
[writing: In the drama he's an ace!]
Aiba: That's right ne, you've done it ne.
Sho: Although that was CG. (writing; computer graphics)
3:55
{The announcer says that Sho is a little nervous about being the pitcher, but the match is in the afternoon.
First they'll be helping to harvest green onions.}
4:06
Grandma: Um, when you take them out-
Aiba: Please look at this! I pulled a lot!
Sho: AMazing~!
Aiba: You do it 3-4 at a time! (writing)
[writing: Criticism!]
Sho: She got mad at you.
Aiba: She got mad at me;P
Grandma: You do it like this, take them and pull them apart like that, so that they won't get broken, Because
if you break them and scar them we won't be able to sell them ne. (writing)
Aiba: Yes! That's right ne. So like this?
Grandma: That's right, that's right. Then jsut keep lining them up. Isn't it fun? (writing)
Aiba: It's fun ne.
Grandma: Will you do it everyday? (writing)
Aiba: Everyday?
Sho: Grandma is being an amazing scout for you ne. (writing)
Aiba: It came from here-
Grandma: If you were to become part of our household you could do it everyday. (writing)
4:41
{The announcer says that grandma seems very happy to be working in the fields with her grandkids.}
4:45
Sho: Can you eat them (the green onions) raw? (writing)
Aiba: Then let's go with these ones.
Grandma: You cna eat them.
Sho: You can eat them?
4:50
{The announcer questions Sho's decision to eat the just-picked green onions rawO_o}
4:54
Grandma: Spicy? Spicy?
Aiba: Spicy?
Grandpa: They're kind of spicy?
Sho: Ah, but it's sweet.
Aiba: Sweet??
Sho: Tasty.
Aiba: Ah, tasty.
Grandma: But no matter what vegetable ne, when they're freshly picked it's different right?
Sho: Ah...now it's spicy. (writing) Now it's spicy. The aftertaste.
Aiba: We were completely deceived! (writing)
Grandma: About once a lifetime it's good right? testing it out. Because that spicy is good. (writing)
Aiba: Then you try eating it Grandma. (writing)
Grandma: No way~! I hate green onions! (writing)
[writing: The shocking truth]
Aiba: Are you serious?
Sho: Ehh? That's a shock!
[Announcer: Everyone harvests together for an hour. (writing)]
Grandpa: Alright, let's pile this up and go.
Grandma: Let's go.
Grandpa: Let's go home.
Sho: Alright.
Grandma: Yes, thank you. Good job.
Grandpa: Let's go home, let's go home. (writing)
Sho: 'Let's go home, let's go home';P
Aiba: Grandpa's kind of impatient! Because today's the match ne. (writing)
Sho: That's right.
Aiba: It's the conditions ne.
Grandpa: The time to get to the cargo dock is drawing near ne. (writing)
Aiba: Is that right?
Sho: Ah, is that so?
Grandma: We have to be at the cargo dock by 11:30. Well, thanks for your hard work. (writing) Come again.
Aiba: Well, see you again.
Sho: Bye ne~.
Grandma: Bye ne~!
Aiba: Bye-bye!
[writing: Parting so soon?!]
Grandma: Thanks for your hard work today!
Aiba: It kind of seemed like today it was already over.
Sho: Like a 5 minute show. (writing)
Aiba: Bye ne!
Grandpa: We'll be waiting for you (at home)! (writing)
[Announcer: Huh? writing: Left behind?]
Aiba: Kind of, when you part like this, you don't know if there's a sense of affinity. Huh? Okay then, let's
go Mago team, Yay!
Sho: Let's go.
Aiba: Let's go! We'll get there late! Ah! There it is, the location bus. (writing) There it is, we'll use that.
[Announcer: The two of them follow in the location bus.]
Sho: Sorry.
Aiba: Oh man. Thanks Macchan! (writing) Thanks! Did we keep you waiting Grandpa? Sorry, sorry.
Grandpa: We don't have time, we don't have time. (writing)
Sho: Sorry sorry.
Aiba: You went ahead of us! That's not right, going ahead of us;P
6:44
{Grandpa tells them to pile up the produce and the announcer encourages them by saying they'll be late, so hurry
up. Then grandpa asks who's going to come with him, Aiba volunteers Sho and grandpa asks if he has a driver's license,
which Sho says he does. Grandpa then asks if he'll drive for him and Sho turns him down flatXD Grandma comments
that it's because it's an area he doesn't know probably, and grandpa says that perhaps he isn't used to this
kind of driving.}
7:13
Sho: It's manual isn't it? (writing)
Grandpa: Yeah.
Sho: I have my manual driver's license! But ne... I... (writing)
Grandpa: But because our's is manual...
Grandma: Hey! Hurry up and get going! (writing)
Aiba: That's right, go on, ne!
Grandma: That's right!
Aiba: There's not much time, this isn't the time to be deliberating over it.
Grandpa: Ma-kun, make something tasty! (writing)
Aiba: Yeah, got it.
Grandpa: Your favor ne.
Aiba: Bye ne!
7:32
{In the car Sho asks what position grandpa plays in softball, and grandpa says that 10 years ago he played short-stop.
Then he goes on to say that he had surgery for stomach cancer the year before last, and that after that he got tired
really easily and felt like his physical strength went down a lot. That's why he gave his notice of retirement.
Then in the kitchen Aiba talks to grandma about grandpa's retirement match, grandma says that he made an application
for a retirement match with them, because their own grandchildren are not really sports-minded. She says that
although they go here and there on the computers, and Aiba breaks in to comment on how nice it must be in IT,
and she continues saying that they were never the kind of people to go energetically move around outside. Aiba
then says that it must make grandpa happy, to be able to do it together with them and she agrees and says that
he plans on doing it, since he likes it. The announcer comments on how quickly it seems that grandpa wants to
have a match with them. Sho apologizes for them arriving so late then starts carrying four boxes at once, while
grandpa praises him. A few boxes later grandpa announces they're done and they both agree it's time to go home
for lunch. Meanwhile, the announcer wonders what's on the menu today... Aiba asks grandma what's in the boiling
pot, and answers his own question by saying it's Tsumire soup (like fish stew, with sardines), apparently grandma's
specialty. She says it has burdock, daikon and carrots and Aiba says it looks super tasty, which she agrees
with. Then the announcer mentions that what Aiba is making is his favorite, fried chicken;P}
9:31
Aiba: I super love fried chicken! Really! It's my very favorite food. (writing) Grandma.
Grandma: That's great ne. (writing)
Aiba: Yeah. And ne, I ne...like fried chicken so much I was a birdman! (writing)
[writing: Fly! Aiba Masaki becomes a bird!! Grandkid Aiba's wish-granting reward project.]
Aiba: And I went like this...ne, I was like this-
Grandma: A chicken? (writing)
Aiba: Not a chicken! A flying bird. The kind that runs like this and just jumps over and flies. I did that.
You kind of want to see it huh? Here's the VTR! (writing)
Grandma: But our VCR is broken! (wriitng)
Aiba: It's different, it's not that at all;P
Grandma: It doesn't project.
[Announcer: He got a good hit there from grandma. (writing)]
10:10
{Sho and grandpa come home and Aiba greets them and says they're just finishing up, another eight minutes or so.
Grandma laughs and says it's the rice, Sho questions the eight minutes and Aiba says it'll take that long for the
rice to be ready, and why don't they go play catch? Grandpa asks if he wants to, and Aiba says they should
since they have the match in the afternoon. Sho is about to head out and grandma says she'll teach him how to peel
green onions...and grandpa breaks in and says that playing catch is more fun;P So Sho leaves and grandma comments
on how he just wants to go play. Aiba says that since he's the pitcher he should try it out, and Sho says to
leave it to him....}
10:37
Aiba: I think he definitely can't do it. Sho-chan ne, isn't athletic. (writing)
Grandma: Ehh?;P
Aiba: I think you'll understand when you see him.
Sho: How do I throw it?
Grandpa: Oh! That's good.
Sho: Ah, I look fairly good at this.
Grandpa: You're getting it right down the middle.
Sho: Really?
Grandpa: Yeah. Ah, that's a homerun ball! (writing)
Sho: That's bad ne. (writing)
11:00
{Sho asks grandpa if he's played catch with his grandkids and grandpa says today is the first time. He says those
kids are always going 'pata pata', Sho is confused and grandpa says they play videogames. The announcer says that
grandpa's face looks happy, playing catch with his grandkid for the first time. Aiba comes to find them, saying that
lunch is done, and Sho says he does after all have the feeling that's he's Bambi. So Aiba asks grandpa if he's
doing it, if he's doing it well, and grandpa says he's doing great! Aiba laughs, and grandpa throw another ball
and they both agree that he looks cool. So now Aiba wants them to let him do it too, so he tells Sho to switch
with him for teh food, and Sho says that means he wants him to hold it? Aiba says yeah and tells grandpa he's
about to begin, so grandpa tells him to not be to hard at first. Grandpa says he's doing good and Aiba says that
he used to play baseball....at which point Sho announces he's going to to the bathroomXD So Aiba tells him to
leave the food in the living room; he then asks grandpa if he's looking forward to the afternoon, and grandpa
says that having the grandkids as partners is what he's looking forward to. Aiba says that he's engraving it into
his heart isn't he:) The announcer says that's enough catch, it's time for lunch. Today's menu is grandma's special
tsumire soup and Aiba's favorite fried chicken.}
12:43
Aiba: Fried chicken ne. Fried chicken.
Sho: Masaki, in the mornings your bentou are about half fried chicken aren't they?
Aiba: Because fried chicken is my most favorite food.
Sho: Fried chicken is your most favorite?
Aiba: That's right. I like it so much I was a bird-man right?
[writing: This conversation again...]
Sho: I heard you had that conversation earlier-
Aiba: Ne, the VTR didn't roll, before the VTR could go Grandma cut it off. (writing)
Sho: Ah, is that so.
Aiba: Please watch it here, here's the VTR! (writing)
Sho: I think it's probably not rolling. (writing)
Aiba: I said to roll it! (writing)
[Announcer: Well then, to answer his request, here's the bird-man VTR, please take a look! That's all. That was Aiba Masaki's
gallant firgure, bird-man for just one second. (writing)]
13:36
{Grandma and grandpa agree that this is great, he says this is the first time in a long time that they've eaten
while laughing like this, and grandma says there's no one to talk with so they just put everything into eating.
Aiba asks if that's true, and she says all they can hear is the sound of the TV. Sho says that's not all that
lonely;P The announcer says that the grandkids get fired up for grandpa's retirement match next. Now Sho says
that they've finished changing, and have finally arrived at the playing field. Grandpa agrees and says that
he's depending on them so work hard! Sho says to leave it to them;) The announcer mentions there's a surprising
line-up for the first inning, and one of the team members starts reading off the names: On first is grandpa,
2nd, left field is Yamazaki-san, 3rd, pitcher, Sakurai-sanXDD (writing: Big selection!) Aiba says that's the best,
and the man reads off #4, second base, Aiba-san:) Aiba says thanks, happy he's #4. The announcer says that withj
grandpa as the number 1 batter the grandkids are 3rd and 4th as clean-up. Furthermore, since Sho is the advance
pitcher he's got a great selection. Grandpa's retirement match is 5 innings only, it's time play ball!:) Sho
throws the first ball and gets a strike, Aiba and grandpa compliment him; the second ball gets hit towards first
and Aiba catches it and passes to grandpa, sending one out. Grandpa tells Aiba 'nice second!';P The announcer
says that Sho managed to take out the top batter in two balls, but after this the line-up of strong batters piles
up. Under the weight of the barrage they're very soon in a bases loaded tough spot. Upon which Aiba-kun says...}
15:45
Aiba: That's a good ball. Because it's an easy to throw good ball! (writing)
Sho: That's not complimenting to me! (writing)
Aiba: Ah, is that so?
Sho: That's not a compliment!
15:49
{The announcer wonders if Sho can get them out of this tough spot...and he pitches and the batter hits it right
out into right field, making a grand slam and netting them 4 points, creating a suddenly painful development
for our home team^^; To comabt that grandpa is the top batter, Aiba tells him to do his best:) But grandpa
hits a pop-fly and is out, quicker than you cna blink:S Sho and Aiba tell him not to worry about it, and Sho
is finally up to bat. Aiba cheers him on with the megaphone, the announcer says that he somehow wants to change
this siutation with his own bat, but he hits it to third and is out before he reaches first base.}
16:44
Sho: I want to go home! (writing)
Aiba: This is hard!
Sho: What the heck~! Grandpa, everyone's so good!
[Announcer: After this, heading towards a miracle reverse victory the grandkid team launches a big counterattack!
(writing) For the sake of presenting a win in grandpa's retirement match, Aiba-kun and Sakurai-kun are participating
as helpers in softball match. After a series of nice plays, by the end of the 4th inning they're at 13 - 0^^;
Somehow the mago team wants to grab not a chance for victory with a counteroffensive, however!]
Sho: Ehh??!
[writing: Overpoweringly fast ball]
[Announcer: At this point the opposing team brings in their relief ace pitcher. For Sakurai-kun, who has no hits
thus far, this is an extremely formidable enemy. (writing)]
Grandpa: Oh, nice eye! Nice eye! (writing; batter's eye)
Grandma: Great!
Grandpa: Great!
[Announcer: And then a miracle...!]
Aiba: Go! Run! Run!
[writing: Infield hit!]
Aiba: That's great!
Sho: I got it by the feet! (writing) I got it by the feet!
[Announcer: Next is 4th, Aiba-kun. At which point Sakurai-kun on first base...!]
Aiba: Go, that's it!
[Announcer: Nice steal!]
Grandpa: Nice run nice run! (writing) Safe safe!
Aiba: That's great, that's ours! I'll bring you in!
Grandpa: Bring the runner in! (writing)
[Announcer: Aiba-kun won't lose either! writing: Home run prediction!] (Babe Ruth used to do this;P)
Sho: There it is. The nostalgic home run prediction;P
[Announcer: Will a miracle occur? Aiba-kun, aiming for a miracle reversal, makes a home run prediction!]
Sho: The nostalgic home run prediction;P
[Announcer: Upon which his partner takes the same attitude!]
Aiba: Go go go!
[Announcer: Here Sakurai-kun heads to third base! Then, though not making the home run, Aiba-kun also gets a
base after 4 balls. (writing) The mago team is in a good mood! writing: First point scored!]
Sho: We did it!
Grandpa: With the two grandkids we have 2 points! (writing)
Aiba: We have two points. Ne, we have two points! Okay~!
[Announcer: Furthermore, their chances continue.]
Aiba: Yeah~! That's great!
[writing: 3rd point]
Grandpa" Nice run, nice run! Nice run!
[Announcer: In the end they weren't able to triumph in the retirement match, but the grandkids have a genuine
gift for grandpa. (writing)]
Grandpa: Thank you very much!
Sho: There you go~.
Grandpa: Thank you very much.
Sho: Thanks a lot;P The match was great.
[writing: Parting...]
Sho: Grandpa and Grandma, thank you very much for today.
Grandpa: Thank you very much.
Grandma: It was fun.
Sho: For us as well.
Grandma: Such great grandkids...I say but you wanted to hear it right? It was fun, it was really great, thank
you very much.
Sho: It was the best. Grandpa, thank you very much for today. From hhere on as well-
Grandma: Thank you very much. Yes, thank you.
Sho: Okay, thanks, thank you very mucch for today.
Grandpa: No no, thank you.
Grandma: Thank you very much.
Aiba: Thank you again, for the opportunity.
Grandpa: We want to see you again ne. (writing)
Aiba: We want to see you again ne. Grandpa, thanks for your hard work in softball ne. In your retirement ne.
(writing) Thanks a lot!
Grandpa: Yeah, thanks a lot!
Sho: Thank you very much.
Grandpa: Thanks.
Sho: Be well! It's cool that he was doing sports even after becoming a grandpa ne.
Aiba: That's right ne.
Sho: After all, there aren't many sports that you can do after you get older ne.
Aiba: Shall we make some?
Sho: Ne.
Aiba: Shall we go with Arashi?
Sho: What are we doing?
Aiba: Well, Arashi. Even though we get older. Let's do it with the sensation of doing club activities!
Sho: I see, got it;P
Grandpa: First of all, it was fun. Those kids were so bright...won't you come back and touch us with that
light again?
Grandma: Really ne. I really think it would be great if we could meet again. They were really devoted ne. And
handsome men;P Really.
Sho: Which is to say that, today we went to participate in grandpa's retirement match~! Grandkids mean retirement
period ne? I thought I'd like to ask everyone what things they want to do until retirment. (writing)
Jun: Eh, what what what? Eh?! What should we do? (writing) Arashi-
Nino: Tell us what we should do! (writing) Retirment.
Aiba: What should we do?;P
Sho: You don't have to think about it that realistically;P (writing)
Jun: Meaning Arashi's (retirement)? (writing)
Aiba: Meaning Arashi's ne.
Nino: It's beyind imagining.
Jun: Up until now have you thought about retiring? (writing)
Ohno: Well, from the point we debuted I was already thinking [I want to escape]. (writing) Me and Nino.
[writing: The attempted combination]
Aiba: Because that time was extremely busy ne.
Ohno: I mean, for more than month we were in a position of only being able to get 30 minutes to an hour of
sleep a day.
Sho: That's right ne.
Ohno: I thought, can I continue with the entertainment world for the rest of my life? I have to get away some
how! (writing)
Aiba: Cause you'll die;P
Sho: I ne, awhile back Ninomiya walked the red carpet didn't he? At the film festival. I thought, I want to
walk it with all five of us ne. (writing)
Nino: Go to Berlin? Berlin.
Aiba: How was it (the film festival)? (writing) In Berlin.
Nino: Ah, it was fun. I was super popular. Arashi was super popular too. In Paris we're super popular. (writing)
[writing: Arashi advances into Europe?]
Aiba: What a minute!
Sho: That's not true you!
Aiba: We're not in Europe!
Sho: There isn't anyone in Europe!
Nino: There is, there is!
Sho: You're pushing it too hard! Do you have something you want to do?
Aiba: Well, gekku of course ne. (writing; this refers to the monday night 9pm timeslot on TV, since there's never
any baseball broadcast it's a guaranteed airing all year round, a great place to make a career move.)
Sho: Ah, gekku.
Aiba: Yeah.
Sho: Before you retire.
Aiba: Gekku, before I retire.
Sho: In gekku there are a lot of different things, as you would think, like love stories.
[writing: Q. What kind of genre in gekku?]
Aiba: Ah, yes yes yes.
Sho: They also have suspense-
Aiba: Well, action, I want to do action!
[writing: A. An action drama]
Nino: There's no way!
Jun: They don't do that! (writing)
Nino: Doing action in gekku!
Jun: I've never seen it! (writing)
Aiba: There isn't?;P

Man, I really thought they'd suddenly changed the format on me when they started comparing underwearXDD 'This is...*that* kind of show now?'XDDD Too cute, Aiba's so happy about it too, such an adorable boy:3 And his fried chicken fetish, he's been quite vocal about that lately ne;P It's too bad they couldn't win the baseball game, but it was really cool to see them playing their hearts out^^ And why on earth can't they just accept that they're popular in Europe!!O_o Poor Nino, no one believes him...^^;

Entertainment Arashi

April is the right time to start a new lifestyle right? I'm sure among the people reading this issue of Popolo
there are those kind of people as well ne. I as well, am doing a new drama, and I have a lot of new encounters
through work. The Dome concerts with Arashi in April are one part of that. I have this incredible sense of "doing
somethign new" ne. In talking about myself as an individual, I've been going to the Tokyo Dome to watch baseball
since I was really small ne. I'd eat the Tokyo Dome-style ice cream midway through (laughs). Starting from that
kind of spot the Tokyo Dome became a place where I'd go to see live performances, a place where I'd do live
performances like the Countdown...and this time, it's become the place where I'll do a concert with Arashi. Therefore
it's also a place with strong points of contemplation ne. Conversely, I've only been to the Kyocera Dome in Osaka
once. But I'm looking forward with anticipation for what will happen. If you were to ask what kind of concert we
want to do, naturally since we're the ones doing it I think it would be best to make it an Arashi-ish live
performance.
Speaking of work, the movie [Kiiroi Namida] is finally being released. Although [Kiiroi Namida] is not by any means
a flashy movie, I think it's become a good movie that will stay in your heart. The highlight is the 60s era world-
view constructed by director Inudou Isshin. Although the setting of this movie is Japan in the rapid economic
growth period of the 60s, the young people's conflicts that are depicted in this movie are universal. I think
even now there are young guys living in this kind of apartment, the adults often say things like [These youngins!]
right? I think that's because no matter what the era young people have conflicts. It's just that these are
5 guys who have a clearly different appearance from that of the "present day" (laughs). For me the 60s has kind of
an earthy, warm image to it. It would be great if an atmosphere thereabouts was conveyed on the screen ne.
Right now I'm at the point of filming the last episode of [Hana yori Dango 2] (this interview was done in the
last half of March). I myself think that the last episode has become a [HanaDan]-like last episode, although I
think it may have become the most interesting episode, how was it? Due to that, just when I had only one script
left for [HanaDan 2], they gave me the script for [Bambi~no!] (starting April 18th on JapanTV) (laughs). For the
sake of [Bambi~no!] I'm currently in the middle of doing cooking practice. Even today I was grating garlic. My
role this time is half a man (laughs)! Of course there are cooking scenes as well, but the highlight is the
human relatinships that are entwined with it ne. My co-stars are strong this time as well (laughs)!! Starting with
Kitamura Kazuki-san and Ichimura Masachika-san, there are some amazing people here. So I think that I'm being
trained a great deal by being on this set.
Speaking of which, I made my hay fever debut this year. My head is all cloudy, it's the worst! From now on I'll
keep increasing my knowledge with regards to hay fever, and I have to work my hardest in the filming of the new
drama ne.

Hmm, it's so cute that he has nice memories of the Tokyo Dome from when he was growing up, that makes it so much more meaningful for him to be performing there now ne<3 I wonder if the first time he stood on that stage and looked out at the fans it was a really surreal kind of feeling^^ Regardless, it's a milestone for Arashi, and I hope this is a sign of their continuing rise as stars:3

Now the little tidbit from Wink-Up, I think in this section they write letters to someone...;P

To Hay Fever.

You're the worst! The cedar trees should just disappear! Well, that's what I think (laughs). Since this seems to
be a year with a lot of hay fever, I as well have finally gotten hay fever... By the time this issue comes out
all the pollen will have already disappeared right? And next year can go along without hay fever right? Because
I've never had hay fever I don't have any information about it ne. ...it's really the worst.

[If you had the ability to talk to animals, what kind of animal would you talk to and about what?
- Lions. They drop their cubs in valleys. ...I want to try asking the lions about that mental state.]

Haha, poor baby!XDD Aw, I feel so bad for him...I hope by now it's cleared up a great deal, I don't know much about hay fever but I assume as summer progresses it'll reduce quite a bit:S And I tried looking up this thing on lions, all I could was info on how the males will sometimes kill the cubs if they're fathered by another male...but nothing about them dropping them in valleysXD Anyone?;P What an interesting thing to say...^^ Here's a little more of our gorgeous boy<3

Always wondered what Nino said on all those Riida's pictures XDDDDDDD
And.... I still don't know why the hell they used baby's feeding-bottle XDDDDDDD

Geez I have to wake up in 6 hours, must go now, THANK YOU SOOOO SOOOOOOO MUCH for the translations *will read it all when I come back from work!*

Thanks for the translations!
The pics from Korea were especially lovely! ^__^ (And no, I didn't know them before.)

I like Jun's pictures here, he seemed to be very happy taking them. Also, I love that on the very first picture, neither he or Aiba look their best, but they both look very real. I do wonder, though, what exactly Ohno was doing there...^^" Nino doesn't seem all that pleased with it, whatever it is! XD

Speaking of Nino - he and Ohno seem to be even more focussed on each other than usual... (reminds me of an American couple I once met in the catacombes in Paris. They were surrounded by hundred thousands of bones and thousands of skulls, but they only had eyes for each other...XD)
But what's up with Nino's attitude towards Ohno doing things? He touches Ohno, takes photos of him - but he doesn't want him to do it back? Is he trying to establish his dominance, or something? ;P

I really like Sho's pictures, especially the last one! It's a really lovely snap-shot of the others - Aiba looks as if he's in school, wanting to say something! XD
[info]tipsytoe wrote:

That's what I thought too. I love that their journal section only have each other in it. Heh. Nino's just weird, like that. But it so lovely to see how close they are. Even when Nino's being all "STOP WITH THE PICTURES". Poor Ohno. :)

I agree, I like Sho's batch the best because he took shots of everyone. Aiba is VERY CUTICLE in the last one, eh? <333

The first of Jun's pics is the best ne~:) I like candid shots like that, they should do them more often<3 Yeah, I really have no idea what's going on with Nino and ohno there...;P
Haha, yeah those two are all over each other lately it seems neXDD Nino is totally the dominant one, Ohno's always been an M...but I don't know why he's being so obvious about it;P Poor Ohno, he can't winXD
Hehe, now that you mention it, Aiba does look like he's waiting for teacher to call on him;P It's ncie to see them so call and relaxed^^

Thanks for all your translations!

I never heard of lions dropping their cubs in valleys. I wouldn't be surprised if males killed cubs that weren't theirs. I was watching a few minutes of a nature special on wild horses and a foal was having trouble trying to stand up wen it was born and the other horses just left it behind. Then the head male came back and picked it up by the neck and banged it into the ground until it died. I was in shock. I never saw a horse do such a thing before!

[This resident-san...he's putting on airs as if he's a model ne.] <-- LOL!!! xD

Dang, girl, it seriously must take you ages to type this stuff out. But I am more than happy that you do. For instance, I forgot how much I liked that MMA. The granparents seemed genuinely comofortable with the boys and grandpa was soooo happy to play softball. (And major LOLZ to Aiba for saying Sho isn't very athletic!). I think the boys enjoy this kind, more, too. A little work (Sho biting into the raw negi, what did he expect?? XD XD) and then food and then fun. ^___^V

And poor Jun! I suffer from hay fever big time and this yeay has been worse than any I can recall. It is a very annoying problem. Unlike a cold, the hay fever gives you the stuffy head and sneezing with the addition of itchy eyes. Bleh!
[info]nyanchan wrote:
Apr. 27th, 2007 10:25 pm (UTC)
Oh, you would not believe....XD It's worth it when people enjoy it though, so I'm glad you liked the MMA^^ It almost seemed like they really were the grandkids, and that they'd be coming back next summer to help again ne...grandpa was over the moon about getting to play with themXD I like these kind better too, you get to see more sides of their personalities and they get a chance to relax a little while working so hard:3
Ugh, I'm so sorry you have hay fever too:S Is it liable to improve as the season goes on or is it pretty much locked in until fall?>_

I have always been waiting for your translation nyanchan..and as usual it is always great... i guess i am just one of the zillion (well maybe i am over-exagerrate) hihihi... who just read but doesnt write comment.. but i think everyone is thankful for your translation....

I can't wait for the the term to finish so that I could download all arashi stuff that you have translated...i havent read most of the arashi tv stuff..saving it for the hols...

i dont know if it is just me or the colour of the scan..or whatever that is wrong with the lighting or just myself....(i think it is more of myself swooning over him)..but when i look closely at wink-up pics..it seems like jun has a bit of immature moustache..i dont know the right word in english... it is just so shocking for me as i thought pretty boys like... hurm... and moustache doesnt come together... dont take it the wrong way..but imagining jun with with captain crooks style moustache...it is just hilarious...well disregard this paragraph if it is just me...

once again thank you so much for the translation!!!! (sorry if i wrote something of like an email...gomeneh
