The cat came back, the very next day...;P
Okay, here's the rest of the monster postXDD BTW, the title of my previous post was a reference to this week's episode of Bambino, too cuteXDD And I've been watching Propose Daisakusen and Watashi-tachi no Kyoukashou and Liar Game too...it's really a good time for dramas ne =)
Anyway, the show must go on!;P
Next, after several requests, the bits with Arashi from their most recent Music Station appearance^^ (07.05.11)
I got a clip which encorporated all the bits with Arashi (starting with MiniSute) in one, so that's how the translation flows as well^^
Mariko: A direct live broadcast for conveying the exciting real sides of artists, Mini Music Station, MiniSute.
Tonight it's all of Arashi!
All: Hello!
Mariko: Your favor please!
Nino: That's not true, we're not doing anything.
Mariko: Please! So, everyone, as a part of it being 8 years since your debut a few days ago you held you first
Dome concerts ne?
All: Yes!
Jun: We did it.
Aiba: Thank you.
Sho: Thanks.
Mariko: Did it make you nervous?
Jun: Ah, we unepectedly weren't. I thought that we'd do it much more. With all those people there, and other famous
guests, I thought we'd be nervous, but unexpectedly we weren't ne. Yes.
Mariko: Um, did your families come to see you?
Aiba: Yeah, they came for the most part ne.
Nino: Ne. Yes.
Ohno: Everyone came.
Aiba: Limited to family.
Mariko: Something...came? Older brother?
Nino: In the last half of the concert we often through signboards, but when I got home my mother had snatched
up an incredible number of them.
Mariko: Ehh?? But, those signboards are what the fans compete for.
Nino: They do, but I guess they didn't ne.
Sho: It's unbelievable your own mother-
Jun: It's my son, it's my son, it's my son!
Sho: Kazunari-kun! Kazunari-kun!
Nino: It's embarrassing, it's embarrassing, embarrassing!
Mariko: Fighting her hardest against the fansXD
Aiba: She won ne. She won, against the other fans right?
Mariko: So, everyone, tonight gather the habitual feelings for that mother, since the day after tomorrow is
Mother's Day ne?
Jun: It's Mother's Day ne?
Mariko: Please send your message into the camera!
Aiba: Alright, go.
Sho: Why, why?
Nino: Mother, although this is how I am, thank for you giving birth to me.
Sho: That's depressing.
Nino: It's not depressing, it's fine.
Mariko: Thank you very much. Well then, let's introduce all of the guests.
** other guests**
Mariko: And, they're obliging us by promoting the theme song of a popular drama, this is everyone in Arashi!
Jun: We'll work hard!
Mariko: Your favor please! So, Music Station is right after this, look forward to it!
Jun: Wait for us!
** other guests**
Announcer: Let's hear it Arashi, with MatsuJun drama theme song, fresh from the Tokyo Dome gig;P (yikes...XD)
Tamori: Arashi, your favor please~.
All: Your favor please.
Mariko: Well then, promoting the theme song for Matsumoto Jun-san's starring popular drama, this is everyone in
Arashi, but it seems the other day they held their first Tokyo Dome concerts!
Tamori: How was the Dome?
Jun: Ah, we were moved. It was amazing. That many people...we were very excited. Um, the people we've been taken
care of by, well it's the same with family, but people like friends, co-stars, staff members came to see it.
Tamori: Ehh, what kind of people came?
Aiba: For example, a lot of people from different genres came, like Ogura-san, the spiritualist Ehara-san, and
Bobby Ologun. (a Nigerian Tv personality and mixed marital artist...off-topic, but wikipedia says he has
30 brothers and sisters!!O_o) And incredible amount of people had the time to come.
Tamori: I went to.
Aiba: That's right, that's right. Just as you said.
Tamori: It was amazing.
Aiba: That's right, that's right ne. Yes.
Tamori: Amazing ne.
Mariko: Amazing;P
** Arashi waving at Seamo (??)**
Announcer: Number 3, Arashi, 'We Can Make It'
**clip of WCMI for rankings**
Female announcer: Filled with the reassuring message 'If you believe it you can achieve it', the 19th single,
a topical number as the theme song of the popular drama Matsumoto Jun-san is starring in, after this they're
going to present it for us.
Mariko: So, number 3 in this week's ranking is everyone from Arashi.
All: Your favor please.
Mariko: The members of Arashi expressed this in the opening as well, but the other day they held their first
Tokyo Dome concerts ne.
Aiba: Yes.
Tamori: Although I haven't really done a concert at the dome...
Aiba: Yes.
Tamori: Is it really different after all? The Dome.
Aiba: Ah well, the tension is different, to start with.
Sho: That's your issue;P
Aiba: Yes. That's my issue, but when I leave my house the tension is different, I get more and more fired up.
I go feeling the tension of 'it's the Dome, it's the Dome!', but even I was surprised, I thought 'reality
is harsh huh'...
Tamori: Harsh?
Aiba: Yes. We came in and we were told 'this is Arashi's dressing room~' as they guided us in, but it was like
a light storehouse
Sho: It was surprising ne.
Aiba: Ne! It was like a storehouse ne!
Jun: It was amazing. It was an incredibly wide room.
Mariko: Yes.
Jun: And, we had concerts in Osaka as well, but in Osaka they set up five sofas for us. And we were kind of, without
saying anything, thinking 'since debuting 8 years ago it's gotten to be pretty good huh'.
Aiba: Like 'isn't this cool'.
Jun: Then when we went into the dressing room...there were like 30 chairs all crowded in there;P In the dressing
room.
Sho: Folding chairs.
Tamori: In the wide- folding chairs is it?
Jun: Folding chairs, all of them lined up. There's only 5 of us, but there were 30 of them.
Aiba: That's right. It's not like those would be there for the Giants baseball players ne. Normally ne, surely it's
not folding chairs ne. That was surprising ne.
Tamori: That was in the dressing room?
Jun: That was the dressing room.
Nino: That was the dressing room ne.
Aiba: Yes.
Nino: Then, with that Jun-kun got pissed, like 'you've got to be kidding me!';P
Aiba: He got worked up.
Jun: I wasn't that pissed. I wasn't that pissed;P
Nino: Then our ne, our president ne, said if they weren't going to give us sofas they should give us something,
so they gave us beds. So then it was like 'we'll definitely be tired so we should go to sleep quickly',
but because nobody was sleepy, ne-
Ohno: Not one of us was sleepy.
Nino: That's right, no one slept, in the beginning. But we were saying it the whole time ne. It became a big waste.
Sho: I had wanted to though.
Mariko: Sakurai-san did?
Sho: Yes. Kind of, we had them provide them for us so I felt kind of bad about it. So for a little on that bed-
well, on top of the bed's mattress it was just a regular futon sheet...
Tamori: Ah, is that so?
Jun: Yes.
Aiba: Those long ones, the ones they use for conferences ne. Yes yes.
Sho: So I passed those and I was thinking 'I'm not very tired, what should I do...'
Mariko: Yes.
Sho: So I was like this for 30 minutes.
Mariko: You were watching the ceiling ne.
Aiba: Before the performance. You were able to focus ne. You focussed ne. You were able to focus ne.
Sho: I was.
Tamori: Well, if you'll please go stand by.
All: Your favor please.
Haha, Nino's mother came home with a whole bunch of signboards?XDD Poor fangirls...;P She sounds like a pretty fearsome opponent, if she's anything like her sonXD But it's pretty surprising that their dressing room looked like the janitor's closetO_o And when nino said Jun was pissed I could totally picture it, too funnyXDD And Sho pitying the staff by lying on the bed for half an hour...;P They certainly crammed a lot of interesting stuff into that short little interview ne:3
Plus, there were a couple requests for the Sakigake Banzuke clip (so short!)=)
Nino: Charging ahead! Musical Entertainer Ranking-
All : -Vegas!
Nino: To the people who are watching the 'Charging Ahead! Musical Entertainer Ranking Vegas', good evening.
All: This is Arashi~!
Announcer: Arashi! Following their previous work, they've quickly released [We Can Make It!], their second
single of the year! We asked them to talk about that song.
Nino: What one is this Aiba-san? (writing)
AIba: This is now the 19th one. (writing)
Nino: Ah~, wonderful.
Aiba: What's the feeling of it being the 19th one in 8 years (since debuting)? (writing) Are you excited everyone?
Jun: Isn't it a feeling of 'already?'? I wonder...
Aiba: There were also years when we could only put out about 2 singles ne. (writing) Taking that into account
this year is going incredibly well ne. (writing)
Sho: You know ne, that's because Matsumoto is appearing in dramas! (writing)
[writing: 19th single [We Can Make It!], 18th single [Love So Sweet], both are theme songs for dramas Matsumoto
Jun appears in.]
Sho: When Matsumoto appears in a drama we put out a CD.
Aiba: Thanks!
Ohno: Please take care of teh 20th single too! (writing)
Aiba: There's strength in the voices, that's the feeling I get. (writing) Ne.
Nino: Huh?! The other day...what was that about the B melody...? (writing)
Aiba: Hmm?! (writing)
Nino: You said you like the B melody the best... (writing)
Aiba: No no no, that was the other day right?
Jun: For the moment we'd like a sense of unity in the comments ne. (writing)
Aiba: Then I'm changing my comment...so to speak- (writing)
Nino: Why are you changing it? (writing)
Aiba: I'm not just changing it like this, the way I feel it is changing! (writing)
Jun: For me the impression of the musical composition as [the Arashi of right now] is incredibly strong. (writing)
Sho: Would it be alright to say it's "current". (writing; slang from the 80s)
Jun: That's right, that's right. Sort of 'the latest version of Arashi'!! (writing)
Nino: That's..."current" is it? (writing)
Sho: That's called "current". (writing)
Announcer: We asked them about the promotion video for this song! (writing)
Nino: It has an incredible 'spring-like' feeling to it. (writing) For how it is now. I think it would have become
that way, although I haven't seen it yet.
Sho: It has! (writing)
[writing: Notice: At this point in time the PV was not yet completed.]
Sho: It's turned out that way! (writing)
Jun: Have you seen it? (writing)
Sho: I haven't seen it. I haven't seen it but it's undoubtedly turned out that way (spring-like)! On May 2nd
itself, without a doubt it'll be a good atmosphere! It'll be spring-like! That's "current"! (writing)
Announcer: This is the promotion video! It's certainly a spring-like "current" finished product. This Arashi's
current 'obsession' they're into lately is? (writing)
Sho: If we have free time we're usually doing this. (writing) This game right?
[writing: Arashi's obsession, finger games.]
Aiba: Shouldn't we do it then?
Nino: We'll do it then.
Ohno: We're doing it for the first time in a while ne... (writing)
Sho: That's not true! Cause we're into it right now. We're into it right now! (writing)
Nino: Well that's okay, kind of, it's okay for you to talk, but read the situation! (writing)
[writing: Arashi's obhsession, finger games. Rules: They follow the basic rules that if the number you say and
the total number of thumbs raised matches up you can clear one hand at a time. However, Arashi's special rule is
that once you've raised a thumb you can't put it down again!]
Announcer: Which means that Arashi's obsession is figner games. It's forbidden to put your raised finger down!
Well, let's begin with Aiba-san!
Aiba: Here I go. Ready, and-! (writing) One!
SHo: Put it up, he's the worst... Ah! Ah I see...nothing. (writing)
Ohno: Ready, and- one!
Nino: Ready, and- one!
Sho: You attacked ne~! (writing)
Jun: Yes, let's go!! Let's go!! (writing)
Sho: Ready, and- two!
Aiba: Ahhh, I see.
Jun: Ready, and- two!
AIba: Ready, and- one! That's the end ne.
Ohno: Ready, and- two! Ah... (writing)
Sho: Hahahaha. (writing)
Nino: Ready, and- three! Alright~.
Sho: Ready, and- one.
Jun/Aiba/Nino: No no no no! (writing)
[writing: Sakurai-kun committed a fatal calculation error]
Jun: Okay, here I go.
Nino: Okay, okay.
Jun: Ready, and- three!
Nino: Yes.
Ohno: Ready, and- two!
Nino: Then, ready, and- one.
Aiba: Well, we only did it once so that happens ne.
Sho: Uwaa~ my hand's incredibly sweaty... (writing)
Hehe, I laughed so hard when Sho said every time Jun's in a drama they release a CD XDDD Cause it sure seems to be true;P But I think they'll have to find another way to put out the 20th single, cause I don't think he could do three dramas in a rowXD That game looks kinda fun I gues...if you were really bored I could see it passing the time;P I lvoed how Jun spontaneously went on the offensive, he looked so competitiveXDD Kawaii~<3 poor Sho...it's a good thing he doesn't gamble, cause with his luck lately...XD
Lastly, my favorite part, the article:3 It's extremely long this week, due to Popolo's 15th year anniversary they did a massive spread:)
Credits for the scans to Mori's pdbox!^^ Opening picture, so happy together<3

{You've never seen the five of us like this?!}
Arashi is the cameraman! The member's candid photos - photo album.
In combination with the polaroid photos shot by the five of them we had had Arashi introduce it's members anew!
Even extraordinary cute faces and strange faces (?!), satisfy yourself with the true faces of Arashi that can only
be seen by the members.
Now a cute picture of Jun (of course!XD)<3

This is our favorite "Arashi song"!
Dancing to [Kitto Daijoubu] brings our tension up!
Currently, this five are in the process of holding their first Dome concerts! We had these members select, based on
three themes, their favorite songs.
Aiba Masaki chooses!
My favorite Arashi songs.
Lyrics: [Sakura Sake]
An encouraging love song that makes you energetic.
I like the energy of the lyrics. This song is a song of encouragement, but there are a good amount of things that
songs can help you with aren't there? I myself, when I was in elementary/middle school, got the feeling I was
being encouraged by Matsuyama Chiharu-san's song. This song ne, for me I think it's an "encouraging love song".
Dance: [Love So Sweet]
An impression of Takeshi-san?!
The movements feel good ne. I like the sense of cuteness about it. It's perfect for the song ne. Even when I'm
dancing it's something that makes me go "Well~, this is fun ne!". ALthough, one way or another, it seems like
I was the only one thinking the dancing in the chorus part 'zutto~ zutto~' was an impression of Takeshi-san ne (laughs).
PV: [Kitto Daijoubu]
A pop creation using CG.
Although there are a lot of Arashi works that have a natural feel to them, this made me like using CG. Like that
pretty rainbow, the pop feel was great. In actuality, the filming itself was fun too ne. We tried giving serious
consideration to the finishing touches of the work.
Sakurai Sho chooses!
My favorite Arashi songs.
Lyrics: [Kansha Kangeki Ame Arashi]
It directly expresses gratitude.
There are a lot of them, but I guess this would be the one that comes to mind right now. Even on [News Zero] we
received a lot of emails saying [listening to [Kansha~] gave me courage]]. Songs that sing words of "thanks"
this directly are rare ne.
Dance: [Only Love]
The mood is good so it feels great.
This song, the mood feels good ne. I like dthe original movements, and although I changed the movements
for my solo live I like them both. I probably like the song ne. I think because I like the mood, as a result,
the dance that goes with it also feels good.
PV: [Nice Na Kokoroiki]
The feel of the five of us playing around together is nice.
I like the cute parts of the atmosphere in this video. Somehow ne, at any rate everyone seems to be having fun.
At the very end they filmed the five of us playing around together in the karaoke box-type room, I like the
extremely good feel of that scene ne.
Kazunari Ninomiya chooses!
My favorite Arashi songs.
Lyrics: [Himitsu]
This is also a song where I recommned the lyrics.
Although you suddenly ask me, I don't remember lyrics~... Ah, it's my own solo song, but how about [Himitsu]?
Things like "I want to divide up my power and give it to you", it's pretty good with those lyrics. Although I'm
told that the dance for this song is cute, the lyrics are also pretty good.
Dance: [Kitto Daijoubu]
The mood and movements are catchy!
It's probably because we dance it a lot lately, but I guess the one that quickly came to the surface was this one.
I like the feeling of catchiness of the high spirits in the chorus' "lucky lucky baby~". Those movements are
probably pretty easy to remember, perhaps everyone could dance to it?
PV: [Aozora Pedal]
The image of youth can be satisfying.
This took two days of filming. If you were to look at the original you might be able to tell, but when we were
filming we did a barbeque, we were running an 8mm camera, doing various things. It could be because of that,
the memories being so deep ne. The feeling of "that's youth!" in the finishing touches was good too.
Matsumoto Jun chooses!
My favorite Arashi songs.
Lyrics: [Love So Sweet]
It recalls Doumyouji's feelings.
Because Arashi songs have consistently good lyrics ne. Speaking of recently, [Love So Sweet] encorporates the
feelings of Doumyouji and Tsukushi, so for me it leaves a deep impression. I also have a lot of friends who tell
me they like [Kansha Kangeki Ame Arashi]. That listening to the lyrics makes them energized.
Dance: [Pikanchi]
A strong melody and flashy movements.
I like the actions in the intro. When that intro comes on I get super excited ne. I like the movements too,
and the sounds, I like the melody's kind of strong feeling. Because there are flashy movements to go with the
strong melody dancing to it feels good ne.
PV: [Nice Na Kokoroiki]
The comical mood is fun.
I like the feeling of brokenness, the comical mood ne. Because even when we were filming it on set the five of
us were just doing whatever we wanted (laughs) it was incredibly interesting. When I watched the finished video
the feeling of fun from that moment was expressed in the images as well.
Ohno Satoshi chooses!
My favorite Arashi songs.
Lyrics: [Allergy]
The unclear meaning of the lyrics makes it profound?!
This is a legendary song (laughs). I don't get the meaning of "You look like a melon, but your taste is just a
lemon". Although we added a fun performance to it in the summer concerts of 2000, I'd like to try doing that
song now. But MatsuJun says he doesn't want to cause it's childish (painful grin).
Dance: [Kitto Daijoubu]
It's too much fun, by the time I realize it I'm smiling.
At any rate this song is fun ne. Perhaps because of the sound of lyrics like "pretty much babe" or "swish swish
babe" when I'm dancing I get excited, I suddenly start to smile. Especially when we do it in concert, I get
incredibly worked up, it's fun ne.
PV: [Hadashi No Mirai]
The results from the short filming time are awesome!
it takes a fair amount of time to shoot a promotion video. But for this song, because of the time circumstances
we shot it in an extremely short time period ne. Even so, the result was great! The members' expressions are great,
I have fun watching it. It's awesome that we could make something great in such a short time!

Aiba is a person who "likes urban legends", Ninomiya is an "Arashi maniac" person?
Precisely because they are members they know, a big revelation of the five's true natures (?!)! Things they know
from being together so long, freshly enacted events and others, a full load of true Arashi. Feel the real sense
of "the close Arashi" from the 25 polaroid photos taken by the members. The photos appearing in Popolo for the
first time are also a must-see!
Matsumoto Jun, photos & comments:
Matsumoto Jun is a cooking person.
If I have the free time I cook. What I often make is Amatriciana. Lately I have onions, garlic, and pancetta on
reserve. I have a bad habit of eating it when I get hungry in the middle of the night (painful grin). But cooking
is simulation for the drama and becomes a good change of pace ne.
Sakurai Sho is a newspaper person.
If you were to say something about him, he reads newspapers ne. It seems like he's always trying to amass knowledge.
When the conversations we're all having together turn to the topic of current affairs he also teaches us a lot
of things. This is quite a while ago, but he also taught me about cellhpone number portability.
Aiba Masaki is a music person.
For some reason I have the impression that he's constantly listening to music lately. When we were to be on location
together as well, while we were getting there he had his headphones on the whole time. But I don't know what
he was listening to (laughs). Ah, it was right before we were recording, so maybe he was even listening to Arashi
songs?
Ohno Satoshi is a person who goes at his own pace.
There's a lot of times when he's spacing out in the dressing room ne. It may that because he does arts activities
at home that when he's on set his power runs out ne. That's about where he goes at his own pace ne (laughs). But
admire what he makes, they're amazing. Well, there's a paper-thin difference between a genius and something else
right (laughs)?
Ninomiya Kazunari is a game person.
Speaking of Nino, as you would think it's games ne. So because of that it's natural that when there are intervals
between jobs he's constantly doing that ne. Speaking of which, just recently he came up with a game like 'pin
the tail on the dinkey' where you draw the parts of a face on paper wherever you want, he and Aiba-chan and
Captain were fairly worked up over it (laughs).
15th anniversary of circulation special commemorative column, a playback of his first appearance in Popolo!
First appearance, August '97 issue.
I was playing games in the theatre dressing room. It's when I was doing the play [Stand By Me] ne. At that time
I was always playing horse racing games. (Ikuta) Touma got hairspray on that game when joking around, we fought
about it ne (laughs).
Sakurai Sho, photos & comments:
Matsumoto Jun is a person you see a lot.
Due to doing [Hana yori Dango 2] followed by [Bambi~no!] I happen to see him in a lot of places ne. When I got to the
convenience store there are tons of magazines lined up with MatsuJun covers, even when I'm walking about city
and look at the posters I get the feeling he's a 'tv person' ne (laughs).
Sakurai Sho is a person who fully enjoys everyday.
Lately my private life is busy. Going to my younger brother's graduation ceremony and the kindergarten graduation
ceremonies of my friends' kids, showing my overseas friends around Kamakura. It's fulfilling. By the way, the bag
in the picture is Nino's Berlin souvenir for me. Despite using it habitually I was shocked when the zipper broke
within a week!
Aiba Masaki is a person who likes locations.
The locations for [Mago~] are incredibly early in the morning ne. At those times I'm sleeping in the car right
up until the last minute. But he promptly gets changed and goes outside. With a sense of [Let's hurry and do this
location!!]. By the way, he also loves fried chicken so he always chooses fried chicken lunch boxes (laughs).
Ohno Satoshi is an artist person.
This is about when we went to a location for riding an ice floe in a special show. When we were having dinner
we unexpectedly started talking about clay handicrafts Ohno-kun was overly responsive to Sakai Toshiya-san. From
there those two continued their clay lecture for 2 hours while beside them I and Katsumura (Masanobu)-san were
flabbergasted (painful grin).
Ninomiya Kazunari is an Arashi maniac person.
It seems that he mostly watches the shows that the members perform in. He also often watches [News Zero], even
though he was busy with the filming of his own he said he watched all of [Hana yori Dango 2] as well. So he tells
us various bits of Arashi information that he's gathered. Well, in his case, there's a lot of information that's
lies though (laughs).
15th anniversary of circulation special commemorative column, a playback of his first appearance in Popolo!
First appearance, August '96 issue.
My prided Air Force 1's (laughs)!
That's when I was doing the [Soreiki Kinki Great Adventure] ne. Other than the jumper those are my own clothes.
Ah, the Air Force 1's that I talked about in the discussion in the previous month's issue are these shoes (laughs).
The [I like musk cologne] hasn't changed ne.
Aiba Masaki, photos & comments:
Matsumoto Jun is a serious person.
At his foundation he's a serious person ne. When it comes to having to take care of himself as well, for quite
a while now he's been doing it scrupulously. Other than that he's prone to worrying. There are times when MatsuJun
will come to my room after a concert saying [Let's talk a little] and we'll talk thoroughly. No matter what he's
a very perceptive, thoughtful person ne.
Sakurai Sho is a surprisingly silly person.
Although I don't want to hurt his image (laughs), he's a person who can match up to my level of silliness. Even when
we're eating out with the staff the ones who remain behind are Sho-chan and I, when the remaining two of us
went to do karaoke I also suddenly fell asleep (laughs).
Aiba Masaki is in a sense, an ingenius person.
I have various sides, I honestly don't really know what kind of person I am. But, in a sense I'm a genius ne (laughs).
No matter what country I go to I can live like normal, even if I don't understand the words I can buy food.
It seems like there are a lot of opportunites for drawing this out, so the possibilities are endless!
Ohno Satoshi is a person with an unknown age.
He's no different from when he debuted, a feeling like he's sucking out our youthful essence and graudally getting
younger? But, even though back then his body was solidly built, maybe because of his slumped shoulders he also
kind of looks like an old man. Although it's figurative, his age is unknown (laughs).
Ninomiya Kazunari is a fun-looking person.
Nino is fun-looking ne. Don't you get that feeling? But in the past, when he wanted to form a band as a hobby
it seems that he didn't have friends so he couldn't form one. Although it's because he has that past that there
are parts you can't definitively say are 'a fun person' (laughs). But somehow he always seems fun-looking.
15th anniversary of circulation special commemorative column, a playback of his first appearance in Popolo!
First appearance, August '97 issue.
I didn't read the situation (laughs).
In the article they wrote about me as [shyly cool], as you would think ne~. That's my foundation ne... Or rather,
I probably looked cool because I wasn't used to the atmosphere of the interview ne (painful grin).
Ohno Satoshi, photos & comments:
Matsumoto Jun is a busy person.
Although his drama finished, he's still in a drama ne. Since then this person's been habitually busy even in his
private life. On top of which, there's almost no time when I've seen him just spacing out in the dressing room.
For example he'll be talking with the staff about work, no matter when you look he's doing something.
Sakurai Sho is a serious person.
He was a serious person to begin with, but lately I've been especially thinking that. As you would think it's
a lot of work being a news caster. It suits Sho-kun ne. Een the first time I heard he was becoming a news caster
it didn't feel out of place. From habit he's become able to conscientiously do that job.
Aiba Masaki is a person who likes urban legends.
We talk fully confidently about any and every urban legend. Even today he told me about [a cat that has an unbelievably
long torso]. Although I think [ehhh], it's often [so what?]. Although it seems like he reads those kind of books,
he talks about it as if he investigated it himself (laughs).
Ohno Satoshi is a silly person.
Although I got 2 days off I lost myself in a debauched lifestyle (laughs). I did nothing but drink the night
away with a friend who came in from Osaka. Midway through we went to do karaoke for a bit. There an Arashi medley came
up, although I was thinking [I don't want to] when I sang it it was pretty fun ne (laughs).
Ninomiya Kazunari is a person who doesn't change.
Really, this person doesn't change. No matter when or where he's constantly playing games. He doesn't just play
on gaming devices, he also kind of likes games like shiritori (Japanese word game) ne. In the time when we're
getting somewhere he plays it to the point of obstinance. Well, although I go along with him on that too ne (laughs).

First appearance, November '97 issue.
Actually it's silky hair.
I remember about this time. The cameraman told me [do different poses], I enthusiastically did my best (laughs).
You might know from seeing this but I really have silky hair. I guess my hair quality has changed lately?
Ninomiya Kazunari, photos & comments:
Matsumoto Jun is a busy person.
At any rate he seems busy ne. Speaking of which, [HanaDan]'s Doumyouji was cool ne. As you would expect ne. I
checked it precisely. Do your best on the next drama too! I say that because thanks to Matsumoto-san Arashi
is allowed to sing the theme song for [Bambi~no!] (laughs).
Sakurai Sho is a news person.
Well, since he's doing a news program it's to be expected ne. I also often watch [News Zero]. Ah~, he's great ne.
When I watch I always feel strongly that the news is being conveyed to the audience. At any time he's reading
newspapers, I think that's admirable!
Aiba Masaki is an energetic person.
When we're both too busy to be able to see each other I see him on [Shimura Doubutsu-en] and am relieved at how
incredibly energetic he is. He's always doing his best while frolicking with various animals (laughs). When I
see his thoroughly energetic appearance I think that I have to work hard too.
Ohno Satoshi is a person I don't understand.
Information on Leader ne, I don't have anything (laughs). Ah, wait a second and I'll try asking. (He asks Ohno
directly). One way or another it seems that he played around with a friend from Osaka. Drinking until morning,
he didn't have time to go home and change so it seems that he borrowed a top from that friend and went to work
(laughs).
Ninomiya Kazunari is an often invited person.
At this point I often get invited by friends. As you would think it's because I went to Hollywood right (laughs)?
I go out to eat with lots of different friends, I'm enjoying myself everyday. With various of the members as
well. Lately I went to eat with my kouhai Kamenashi (Kazuya).

Fights were an everyday occurrence!
I haven't changed much ne. Ah, haven't I gotten younger (laughs)? At that time I was into horse racing games.
Because I was a kid when I played games I immediately got into fights, even delaying the opening curtain of the
play [Stand~] by 10 minutes (painful grin).
Here I just did Aiba and Jun's part cause this pic was so good<3

Aiba Masaki, Theme: Entrance Examination; thanks to my mom I studied extra hard.
Speaking of age 15, that's the point when I was working hard on my entrance exam. When you become a third year
junior high student school and taking an exam become one and the same right. I was also motivated to work hard
for that. But at first, since I'd already started this job, I was even thinking [Should I go (to high school)?],
[Should I not go?]. So finally I myself decided [I'll go!]. Since then I've had a clear awareness of heading towards
the things I want to do ne.
I ne, although I had confidence in my academic abilities, I didn't have conviction (laughs). So for the time
being I studied extra hard! All five subjects, until late at night. By then the inside of my head was full of
studying.
So, I went to the entrance exam, but unbelievably...that school was interview only (laughs)!! I didn't know~.
Somehow it seems that my mother knew it, that it was interview only.
When I think about it now, thanks to mom keeping quiet I was able to concentrate that much on studying ne. Although
I've forgotten what I was studying (laughs), the "with all one's might" that I knew then comes into my life
even now ne.
Matsumoto Jun, Theme: Jr; I got got frustrated stretching myself (laughs).
When I was 15 I was appearing in Mori Mitsuko-san's starring drama [An unnecessary person] ne. Because about
2 and a half years had passed since I became a Jr I was doing quite a bit of work, the Jr. lifestyle became
completely one part of my lifestyle.
Therefore, after school as well it wasn't my school friends that I hung around with but always my Jr. friends.
Especially Takki, I hung around with him a lot. Making music disc compilations, making music to be used live.
I also received a lot of influence from my Jr. sempai in fashion. To stretch myself I'd put on expensive accessories,
and try wearing fashionable t-shirts. As if I knew the adult world, it was unbelievably fun. Perhaps ne, I,
when viewed by those around me, was a kid with a bad attitude I think. I was awfully sharp (painful grin).
Speaking of which, just recently I had this kind of conversation with the producer of the dram [Bambi~no!] I'm
filming right now. Since that person was a member of the staff on the drama [History's Worst Dates] that I appeared
in when I was a Jr. it seems that the me of that time gave off an aura like [I won't be satisified with this]
(painful grin). Well, even now the fundamental things are unchanged, but after all I think I was very young.

Sakurai Sho: Print Club pictures
Exhanging the print club pictures you'd taken with friends was popular. Everyone made purikura booklets, when we
found a cute girl we'd be like [She's good!] and quarrel (laughs). They're fairly faded, but I have them in my house
even now.
Ohno Satoshi: The clothing Nakai-kun gave me
At that time Nakai-kun often gave hand-me-dwon clothing to the Jrs ne. He gave me an unbelievably surreal t-shirt
that said "Nancy" in English across the chest in beige (laughs). I used it lovingly for quite a long time.
Ninomiya Kazunari: The funds for going to America
I thought about going to America so I was saving money. When I was 15 I saved up quite a bit and seriously planned
to go to America. Although I've liked games since that time, I didn't want to waste it so I didn't buy that many
games.
Matsumoto Jun: A silver bracelet
Brand name silver accessories were incredibly popular ne. Although they were expensive when I was in junior high
I wanted one no matter what, when I went to LA for work I bought one with a star motif. At the time I was always
wearing it.
Aiba Masaki: My pet dog
At right about age 15 a newly born all-white Great Pyrenees dog came into my home. Although we left it in the care
of a training facility for half a year, it was fun going to see the dog every weekend ne.
Whew!XD That took a lot longer than I thought, but it was worth it:3 Not only do we get each member's views on the others, but little pics tooXD My favorite was when Aiba talked about how Jun comes to talk with him in the hotel rooms, imagining the two of them together warms my heart<3 It seems that a lot of things have changed, but more things have stayed the same...I wonder what they will look back on 8 years from now =)
Have a great week everyone, the DVD comes out so soon!X3
