Arashi for dream<3
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!:D Even if you're not celebrating thanksgiving right now, I hope you will be thankful by the end of this postXD The reason being...today is my two-year anniversary^^ That's right, on this day two years ago I posted my first translation on this blog=) And those of you who remember last year, I always want to celebrateXD Hopefully this will all fit in one post....;P

First, the translation of part 7 of 24hr tv^^ Thank you to everyone who answered my 'poll', I will continue with 24hr tv and leave HYDF to SARS. Thank you also for your support for my job re-application, it was incredibly stressful and nerve-wracking, but I should know the answer by the end of this week *fingers crossed*. Anyways, I'm rambling again...;P

Matsuzou: So, momentarily Edo harumi-san will make her appearance at the rest stop. As you can see, many people are loudly encouraging
her. This accomplishment will give her strength, she's been going at a good pace up to this point. So, you can see Edo
Harumi-san's appearance. You can see her.
Tanimura: Do your best.
Matsuzou: You see Edo-san don't you.
Tokumitsu: Those of you on the route, please cooperate with them. Amazing faxes huh?
Sho: Yes. We received lots of support faxes. Everyone, we've received your faxes, lots of faxes have come in.
Jun: Thank you.
Matsuzou: 1 hour and 45 minutes since she set out. She must be tired.
Tokumitsu: Since the path is getting narrower isn't it.
Matsuzou: Well, she's coming in just now, as if being supported by the voices of everyone.
Nishio: Yes, it looks like she's gone into the rest stop.
Tanimura: Do your best.
Tokumitsu: So, the one next Nakama Yukie-san went to, right?
Yukie: Yes. I met a girl named Ookubo Miku-chan ho has an artificial arm. This time Miku-chan completed a wonderful duet with figure
skater Asada Mao-san. It's a moving scene.
[Announcer: That is, a midsummer night's dream-like collaboration between a girl who plays violin and a girl who dances on ice. A
young girl without an arm past her right elbow who plays violin. The world's number one figure skater, Asada Mao. The moment these
two girls met a miraculous story began.
[writing: The miraculous duet between the tiny musician with the high-tech artificial arm and Asada Mao]
[Yukie: June. I visited a certain young girl in Chiba-ken, Narashi City.]
Yukie: Hello. (writing)
Father: Hello. (writing)
Yukie: Hello. I'm Nakama Yukie.
[Yukie: This is 8 year old Ookubo Miku-chan. She's kind of shy.]
Yukie: What are you trying to make with this? (writing)
Miku: Something kind of like a scarf. (writing)
Yukie: Something like a scarf?
Miku: Although it's kind of hot out. (writing)
Yukie: It's hot isn't it.
[Yukie: For Miku-chan there is nothing past her right elbow. But she does many things with that arm.]
Yukie: You;re fast aren't you. You're used to this aren't you. (writing)
[Yukie: Origami is also one of them.]
Yukie: Eh, what is it~? (writing)
Miku: When I'm folding it everyone always asks me 'what is it?' (writing)
Yukie: I shouldn't ask? (writing)
Miku: No no. (writing)
[Yukie: Carefully, quickly...I was surprised at how skillful she was.]
Miku: It's done. (writing)
Yukie: It's done?
Miku: This is a bracelet. (writing)
Yukie: Ah! A bracelet? (writing)
Miku: There.
Yukie: Ehh~, this must make everyone really happy.
[Yukie: Miku-chan gave me the bracelet as a present.]
Yukie: So cute~. (writing)
[Announcer: She was born with one fate. A hereditary limb handicap that afflicts one out of several thousand. Her parents were aware
of it right after her birth.]
Father: After they made us wait an hour they said 'the father only', and when I was thinking 'uwa, something's up' they said 'We're
very sorry, the hospital didn't injure her, but she has no right arm'. (writing)
[Announcer: There was hesitation. However, her parents make the decision to accept that fate as it came.]
Father: Since it's the hand, if it was just one finger then it would be something else. Since you can tell just at a glance, that night
we decided to raise her without trying to hide it. (writing)
[Announcer: Her parents poured out their love for her without paying attention to the handicap. Because 'everyone has a unique personality
and special traits, no one person is the same as anyone else'. Miku-chan herself can't constantly rely on others anymore lately, since
she's the role model for her younger sister, an older sister. When she was 3 years old, Miku-chan was greeted by an encounter that
changed her destiny. That is, a myoelectric arm. (writing)]
Father: There's two sensors attached here. (writing)
Yukie: There are sensors attached aren't there, on both sides. (writing)
Father: And these are conductors.
Yukie: Yes.
Father: If you touch them it'll close just like that. (writing)
Yukie: Ah, you're right. It moved a little.
Miku: If you move back and forth like this it might move.
Yukie: You're right.
Father: Okay, closed, open, closed.
[Announcer: A myoelectric arm. When the brain sends commands to move the muscles a tiny amount of current travels through the nerves.
It's an artificial arm that moves as the sensors respond to the voltage of that current as it passes. (writing) However, becoming used
to using that arm was not an easy thing for a young child.]
Miku: It's not in. (writing)
Father: Closed~ open~ closed~ open~. Trying opening it with all your might. With all your might. Open~.
Miku: No, no.
Father: It's no good?
Miku: I can't open it this much. (writing)
Father: Yeah. You can't do that. Okay, open it wide. Huh? Why isn't it opening? What's wrong? What? Okay-
[Announcer: But the myoelectric arm gave a wonderful reward to Miku-chan for working so hard. The violin. (writing) Thanks to the
artificial arm she's becoming capable of playing the violin. From that a dream was born.]
Yukie: What would you say your future aspiration is? (writing)
Miku: A violin teacher. (writing)
Yukie: A violin teacher?
[Announcer: And dreams give birth to hope.]
Yukie: Miku-chan, you don't want to try playing the violin in front of lots of people do you? (writing)
Miku: I do. (writing)
[Announcer: 'I want to try playing the violin in front of everyone'. (writing) She stepped forward with courage, Miku-chan's challenge
had begun. The challenge that this small girl had decided on was to move the heart of a certain person.]
[Yukie: A few days later. I visited Miku-chan during her lesson.]
Yukie: Hello. Today, the truth is, I have a present for you. Just wait a minute, okay. (writing)
[Announcer: That present is...]
Mao: Hello.
Yukie: This is Asada Mao-san.
Mao: Nice to meet you. (writing)
Yukie: Nice to meet you.
Mao: Hello.
[Announcer: Miku-chan is clearly surprised and nervous when Asada Mao-san suddenly appears right before her eyes.]
Mao: You're Miku-chan, right? (writing) Right?
[Announcer: She can't even speak. The truth is, Miku-chan is a big fan of Asada Mao-san. (writing) It's slightly unbelievable.]
Yukie: You look extremely happy. You're kind of happy aren't you.
[Announcer: Looking at the shy Miku-chan, Mao-san begins the conversation naturally from her end.]
Father: Try holding it tightly. It hurts quite a bit doesn't it. (writing)
Mao: Ah, yes. Ah, amazing.
[Announcer: Thr grip of the artificial arm is stronger than you'd think.]
Father: It'll shock you a little. Take it off. Take it off. There's a little bit of the vestige of a finger. She moves this. (writing)
Mao: She does it by moving this?
Father: Amazing isn't it?
Mao: Ah, amazing~.
[Announcer: The power given off by Miku-chan reaches Mao-san's heart.]
Mao: How is 'do-re-mi'?
Father: What spot, where is it~?
[Announcer: She gets caught up in Mao-san's pace, who is willing to try anything she finds an interest in, due to her curiosity. Before
she realizes it Miku-chan is also opening her heart.]
Mao: Like this?
Father: Ah, that's right, that's right. It's do-re-mi.
Mao: Ah, you're right!
Yukie: A very sad do-re-mi.
[Announcer: Miku-chan makes a present for Mao-san as well from her special origami. It's the heart bracelet that she also gave to
Nakama-san.]
Yukie: Completed~.
Mao: Amazing~. It's a heart.
Yukie: Cute. You did it. (writing)
[Announcer: This time Mao-san offered her support to Miku-chan's challenge without even hesitating. Athlete Asada Mao-san knows, more than
anyone, both the importance of having dreams, and that if you take them on with courage your dreams will come true.]
Yukie: Right now she's doing her utmost to practice playing 'Over the Rainbow' on the violin. (writing)
Mao: Yes.
[Announcer: 'Over the Rainbow'. This is the theme song of Miku-chan's beloved movie 'The Wizard of Oz'. 'The Wizard of Oz' is the story
of a girl struck by calamity who begins a journey of adventure with friends where they all have something riding on it, and get what
they want.]
Dorothy: There's no place like home.
[Announcer: Coincidentally, this is also a memorable song for athlete Asada, who performed to it during an exhibition in the 2005
season. In this way it came about that Miku-chan would play 'Over the Rainbow' for the 3000-strong audience of the show that Mao-san
performs in, while Mao-san performs to it.]
Yukie: Is skating in a live performance difficult? (writing)
Mao: It can be a lot of trouble if the speed of the song is different than usual, but...I think it'll be fine. (writing)
Yukie: Isn't that great? Practice so that you'll be able to enjoy the performance a little bit, okay?
Miku: Yes.
[Announcer: The encounter between Miku-chan and the violin was at her 1st birthday, when her family didn't yet know of the myoelectric
arm. It was a present from her grandmother.]
Grandmother: I myself decided to think that Miku-chan had both arms. Though everyone may not be able to believe in that, I thought
I'd definitely decide on that. (writing)
Father: I think that she believed that some kind of miracle would happen so that she'd be able to play it. (writing)
[Announcer: The whole family continued wishing that Miku-chan's future would open up. And when she was 3 the strong feelings of belief
pulled Miku-chan and the magic right arm together.]
Father: Open~.
Miku: No, no.
[Announcer: Though at first Miku-chan hated it, her parents watched over her with great patience. Miku-chan did her best too. And that
hard work brought many joys.]
Mother: Very good, Miku. (writing) Amazing~!
Miku: Mammy, I'm good right. (writing)
Mother: Yeah. Now you can eat lots of big sandwiches. (writing)
[Announcer: The joy of possibilities opening up now that she could use both hands.]
Mother: Great, great! Amazing, Miku!
[Announcer: She also became able to help her mother at home. One year after she encountered the artifical arm; she finally put her hands
on the violin her grandmother had given her. She made sound. So happy. Since that time Miku-chan became engrossed in the violin. However,
the violin is an instrument that is used delicately with both hands. To Miku-chan, with her artificial arm, it was an as yet unknown
sensation. The one who accepted the duty of being Miku-chan's teacher was Ishikawa Hiroko.]
Hiroko: Yes, then...?
[writing: Clip from when she was 4 years olf]
[Announcer: However, immediately after starting they ran into a big problem...]
Hiroko: Her wrist won't... (writing)
Mother: Her wrist won't move. (writing)
Hiroko: I was surprised to begin with. I didn't know what to think. In the case of the violin the right hand, the movement of the bow
is incredibly important. (writing)
[Announcer: Normally you move the violin bow with your wrist. Miku-chan uses her shoulder to cover for those wrist movements. Teaching
a child with an artificial arm was also a challenge for the teacher. (writing) In responding to Miku-chan's desire to do it, she began
giving strict guidance overflowing with love.]
Hiroko: That's right. You know, when you get discouraged- You're tired right now, right? When you're tired you get discouraged right?
When you do that your elbow gets to the point where it seems as if it's okay to be discouraged. (writing)
[Announcer: They each made one little step after another, Miku-chan and her family were revising the fate she'd been given. Her duet
with Asada Mao-san as well will surely become a great treasure.]
Yukie: Do you have any advice for Miku-chan? (writing)
Mao: If she has fun playing then I'll have fun skating too. So if Miku-chan can enjoy playing then it'll be fine. (writing)
[Announcer: 1 month before the show. Miku-chan's practice for performing in front of 3000 people has begun. (writing) 'Over the Rainbow'.
At the point she let us hear it the biggest barrier was this vibrato. It's also an important focus for Asada Mao-san for creating a
highlight of the show. For Miku-chan, who can't use her wrist, this is very difficult.]
Hiroko: It's too strong. More gently. (writing) Again.
Miku: Please do it one more time. (writing)
[Announcer: Her special training continued every day. (writing) Quite a lot of anticipation, a little uneasiness. Would she be able
to perform well? The day before the show. Today Miku-chan lays her eyes on the stage she will perform on for the first time.]
Miku: Amazing~.
Mother: Amazing. They said this is where Mao-chan's skating. (writing)
[Announcer: This is the arena where she will perform with Mao-san. Very wide.]
Mother: It feels nice doesn't it, in such a large place. (writing) Right?
[Announcer: Tomorrow is the real thing. That day has come. When she went to the arena first thing in the morning Mao-san, who was
rehearsing, noticed right away. Her heart jumped at their first reunion in a long time. Miku-chn is looking forward to it so much she
can't help herself. Miku-chan makes her a present of a heart bracelet she made anew just for today.]
Mao: It fits perfectly. (writing)
Father: Perfectly.
[Announcer: The symbol of their vow, the promise to make it a success.]
Mao: Let's do our best today, okay?
[Announcer: And the arena opens. The room is filled with guests who've come to enjoy the performances of the world's best skaters. In the
important time right before the beginning of the show Mao-san came to see how she was doing.]
Yukie: Please favor us today.
Mao: If you please.
Yukie: What a fantastic outfit. Right, Miku-chan?
[Announcer: Miku-chan is nervously excited at seeing Mao-san in her costume.]
Mao: I'll shake your hand.
Yukie: Do you have any tricks for not getting nervous before a show? Hey, are you listening? Hey. (writing)
Mao: Let's see... I think she'll be okay as long as she doesn't think about standing on stage, and just does it as she would if she
were rehearsing in the usual room. (writing)
Miku: If I do that I'll fail. (writing)
Mao: If you do that you'll fail? Then, just a bit...what would you say...think about showing everyone what you're good at. With the
feeling of having everyone watch you play well. (writing) Then you'll be okay.
[Announcer: She received the advice of the world's best. And midsummer's grand event, 'The Ice', begins.]
Mao: Well then, begin! (writing)
[Announcer: Miku-chan is also unable to calm down. She tries rehearsing the uneasy vibrato one more time before the show.]
Hiroko: In some places it comes out really well. It should all come out really well. (writing)
Yukie: You did the vibrato well right? (writing) You can't accept it? You can't accept it?
[Announcer: Miku-chan has no confidence (writing). In the show Mao-san is beguiling the audience with a fascinating performance. Miku-chan's
turn is drawing closer by the minute.]
Announcer2: Thank you!
[Announcer: Miku-chan suddenly distanced herself from the violin out of uneasiness.]
Father: It's okay to practice. (writing)
Miku: Don't want to. (writing)
[Announcer: Nakama-san is also getting worried. Since Miku-chan said she wanted to see Mao-san, they head backstage together. Eben in the
middle of a big show Mao-san has time.]
Mao: You're fully prepared. So cute~! WSatch me, okay. (writing)
[Announcer: She seems a little calmer from seeing Mao-san. And the show's main attraction, Mao-san performance, has begun. Miku-chan's
turn is very soon. Finally all of them make their appearance for the finale. It's finally time. Wearing the outfit that was made for
today she puts on her artificial arm even more carefully than normal. All the programmes are done. Something that she may give up on
if it was just for herself alone, she can persevere on because it's for everyone. The curtain rises on the show that gave her the
courage to believe in her dreams, for the sake of seeing everyone's smiles.]
Announcer2: Well then, we're finally going to bring the special ice show starring Miku-chan and Asada Mao-san. This is 24hr tv's
charity personality Nakama Yukie-san.
Yukie: Hello everyone. I'm Nakama Yukie. Please, favor us today. Everyone, right now one little girl is trying to make a big dream
come true. Miku-chan, from the moment she was born, was born with a handicap in her right arm. However, being surrounded by
the affection of her father and mother, and since Miku-chan is a very hard worker, really giving it her best, a truly wonderful
girl has been raised. After hearing that she would be able to perform for the sake of her beloved Asada Mao-san Miku-chan was
incredibly happy and gave her utmost to continue practicing the violin. Now she will perform for the people who are precious
to her. I think that this day will become an incredily big, precious treasure in her life. Please, everyone, witness these
emotions together. Please favor us. Well then, I'd like to have the two of them make their appearance. This is Ookubo Miku-san
and athlete Asada Mao-san. Come out! Miku-chan, how are you, a little nervous?
Miku: Yeah.
Yukie: Are you going to try doing your best? Lots of people would like to see the dream performance of you two. Well then, please
prepare.
Announcer2: Eh, that was wonderful wasn't it. Everyone, please give one more big round of applause for Asada Mao-san and Ookubo Miku-chan.
It was a wonderful collaboration.
[Announcer: 'Over the Rainbow'. Over the rainbow there is a land where dreams come true.]
Father: I was so relieved. (writing)
[Announcer: Sparkling eternally nside Miku-chan's heart, this precious time.]
Yukie: Thanks for your hard work~! You did your best didn't you, Miku-chan. (writing)
Mao: Amazing~!
Yukie: Amazing, amazing!
Mao: It was bang on! (writing)
Yukie: How was it? (writing)
Miku: I did it without messing up. (writing)
Yukie: You did it without messing up?
Mao: Oh, amazing.
Yukie: Really? It was incredibly well done.
Mao: I was incredibly nervous having such a small child play at a live performance, but Miku-chan was bang on so I think it was
incredibly good. (writing)
Yukie: How do you feel right now? (writing)
Miku: It was fun. (writing)
Yukie: It was fun?
Miku: Yeah. It was fun. Thank you. (writing)
Mao: Thanks. (writing)
[Announcer: Finally, the three of them take commemorative photos in a purikura booth (purikura = print club, you can design and decorate
your pictures, etc). Have a dream. Try. Do your best. There are people who will support you. And she heard the uplifting acclaim of
those around her. One summer's adventure has ended, leaving a treasure in her heart.]
Aiba: Amazing.
Tokumitsu: That was truly a beautiful collaboration, wasn't it.
Yukie: I think that Miku-chan and Asada Mao-san really did their best. I think it was a great success. um, Miku-chan really practiced
every day, and didn't give in to the pressure of performing in front of 3000 people, and just being able to see her say that
she did it without messing up made me think that it was a great thing.
Tokumitsu: That's right, and you were inside the arena as well, kind of feeling like an older sister.
Yukie: Yes. Truly. I watched over her with the feelings of an older sister.
Tokumitsu: Is that so.
Yukie: Truly.
Sho: Well then, how would the marathon be doing? Matsuzou-san! Matsuzou-san~?
Nishio: Ah, it's raining.
Jun: It's raining isn't it.
Masami: There's a lot of rain isn't there.
Sho: It is. It started just as she got into the rest stop.
Jun: I guess she's just about go right?
Sho: She's done taking a break isn't she.
Masami: Ah, there's a lot of rain.
Sho: I'm kind of worried about her legs.
Yukie: That's right.
Masami: Be careful not to catch a cold, okay? Don't catch a cold. It's worrisome isn't it.
Tokumitsu: Well then, um...this is a song for the people who've done these wonderful challenges and touched our hearts. This program
will bind together many people's hearts this year as well, this is the theme song from the show 'Gokusen'. Let's have all
of Aqua Timez sing it, this is 'Rainbow'.
Aqua Timez: It's okay, if you look up
it's okay, look, a seven-colored bridge
we can finally smile under the same sky
when we re-tie our shoes the wind will push us forward
let's paint the continuation of that dream on the other side of the light spilled by the sky
the depths of the left side of your chest throb, anticipation and anxiety pulse in your veins
is it really okay, can I really overcome everything
It's okay, if you look up
it's okay, look, a seven-colored bridge
when you finish crying it spans the sky
you can see it can't you, far off in the distance
I can see it too, the same one as you
our two skies now become one
we can finally smile under the same sky
it's okay
It's okay, if you look up
it's okay, look, a seven-colored bridge
in your sky when you've finished crying
you can see it can't you, vividly
I can see it too, the same one as you
a rainbow named 'bonds' spanned it
and, our two skies finally, finally
became one, making me run
Tokumitsu: 'Over the Rainbow'. And thanks to everyone from Aqua Timez. That was 'Rainbow'.
Nishio: Next is this:
Tokumitsu: Eh, right now in the collection room Tanimura Shinji-san, Suzanne-san, and Haruna Ai-san are gathering everyone's donations.
Jun: Thank you.
Tokumitsu: Thank you.
Jun: And you can also be charitable via your cellphone. You can access it by the methods you see here, please favor us.
Tokumitsu: If you please.
Aiba: And, how is the vow 'earth balloon project' doing~? Tutorial?
Tutorial: Yes!
Tokui: Yes, we're gradually sewing together the vow words given to us by everybody.
Fukuda: We are.
Ohno: We're really having a lot of people help us out this time. Among them, um, this time I met one young boy who draws wonderful
pictures despite having a handicap. Eh, well then, here's the VTR.
[Announcer: Sato Ryo-san, 28 years old. Due to hereditary cerebral palsy he can't freely move his arms and legs. Despite that, he has a method
that allowed him not to give up on drawing. That is...unbelievably, he puts his pencil in his mouth and draws. The pictures he draws
by moving the end of the pencil little by little, little by little, are also masterpieces. They surprise a large number of people.
Please take a look at his work. Portaits are the focus of his work.]
[writing: Audrey Hepburn]
[Announcer: In all of them the delicate, gentle lines are what leaves an impression.]
[writing: Britney Spears]
[Announcer: If he has an exhibition it's a great success. What kind of existence is drawing for Sato-san, who is overcoming his handicap
to display his talent?]
Ryo: From my appearance people would tend to think I can't do anything, but...it's something you can't break. It's part of the value
of my existence. (writing)
[Announcer: The impetus for Sato-san to put a pen in his mouth and start drawing was when he was in elementary school. In art class
the teacher made him hold a pen in his hand and moved his hand to make him draw.]
Ryo: It was like 'that's not my picture...'. 'How could I draw my own pictures?' I think that I thought 'drawing with my mouth'.
(writing)
[Announcer: Of course, it doesn't go well at the beginning. Despite that, he continues to draw. The motivating power that makes it so
Sato-san can do his best, that would be the fact that his parents are always watching over him.]
Ryo: I think that because they took me to various places I now want to go to a lot of places myself. I want to put my feelings of
gratitude into the pictures by pouring in all the skill I have now. (writing)
[Announcer: Sato-san's vow is to continue being thankful to his parents. And the drawings that he's put his heart into are finally
reaching the Budoukan.]
Ohno: So, that means what we have here is the picture that Sato-san drew. Well then, let's take a look without delay.
Tokumitsu: Please show us. Wonderful~.
Sho: Amazing!
Tokui: The theme of this drawing is continuing to be thankful to his parents. The truth is, he's drawn a lot of pictures, but this is
the first time he's drawn a picture of his parents.
Tokumitsu: I see.
Ohno: This picture will also be part of the giant balloon. We'd like to get it done more and more.
Tokumitsu: I see.
Masami: Fantastic.
Nishio: It's a warm picture isn't it.
Masami: It's wonderful. Fantastic.
Tokumitsu: So that's how it is. Well, eh~, um, we're looking forward to the balloon project, so please favor us from now on as well.
Right after this, finally, eh, the drama that Matsumoto-kun, and Karina-san beside him, star in will begin.
Jun: Yes.
Tokumitsu: Eh...speaking honestly, this is a really well-done drama.
Jun: Thank you.
Karina: Thank you.
Tokumitsu: Truly. The highlights...
Jun: Yes. Ir's a drama based on the true story of a father, battling an illness that afflicts one in 10 thousand people, and the love
of his family. Yes.
Tokumitsu: Eh, a few words please, Karina-san.
Karina: Yes. Um, that, um...I play the role of Aya, who supports her husband Yamaguchi Hayato-san, being played by Jun-kun. But I really
was moved by the cheerfully supportive Aya-san.
Tokumitsu: It's also the role of a mother...right? It's also the role of a wife. Yes.
Jun: I think it's a piece where you can really feel the big love of this family.
Tokumitsu: No question.
Nishio: Let's take a look. This is the drama 'Myuu will give Papa her Legs'.
Tokumitsu: Go ahead.

What a brave girl...I was so impressed at how well she played, she must have worked really hard^^ And that artist is amazing!O_o Such talent. *sigh* Since Kioku subbed Jun's mini-drama I guess I won't do it, although I had really wanted to:S So the next translation will be part 9^^

Next, I translated the rips of Beautiful Days and Wasurerarenai:D

sparkling in the sky

it's pretty to the point of sadness, isn't it
la la la la la la la la (x3)

listen to what I have to say, though there are things here and there I want
clutched, embraced, they're still crumpled up
though they say that if you wish on a star it will come true someday
we'll forever be unable to meet again except in dreams

sparkling in the sky
with flashes of light the stars blur bit by bit
on the way back my tears won't stop
my memories always inadvertently surface in the sky,
tears sentimentally overflowing
it's pretty to the point of sadness, isn't it
la la la la la la la la (x3)

rather than sharing sadness and reducing the number of tears
it's harder being unable to share joy, isn't it
projected on the inside of my eyelids, the smile that slipped out
gives me courage even now, I want to see you one more time

I'll sing into the sky
that's right I'll sing, to the limit of my voice
it's strange isn't it, I'm not alone
I'll always face the sky and wave my hand
wave these hands, with all my strength
that's our sign

even if it's fun, even if it's painful
we can't meet again, no matter how much we're wishing for it

sparkling in the sky
with flashes of light the stars blur bit by bit
on the way back my tears won't stop
my memories always inadvertently surface in the sky,
tears sentimentally overflowing
it's pretty to the point of sadness, isn't it

I'll sing into the sky
that's right I'll sing, to the limit of my voice
it's strange isn't it, I'm not alone
I'll never ever forget
I won't forget, the future
I once painted in the sky with you
la la la la la la la la (x3)

It's perfect for a drama with 'shooting stars' in the title^^ The tangible sense of loss is quite bittersweet, but the chorus keeps it positive...at first the 'la la' kinda bugged me, but I think it's grown on me;P Still, a very pretty song:3

************************************************************

on the other side of the end of the long dream
we drift apart little by little
the feelings that I can't completely express well with words
stay left behind, only tears scattering in my heart

if I look up winter's sun is already dancing high in the white sky
I'm amazed at how much I can't forget you

arm in arm, we felt winter's path closer than anybody
forgetting the time you were always beside me
the warmth of your kiss will gently fade away
so I'll be chilled right to my heart

if I clutched the fingers of my numbing hands together
then I knew that the lacking heat was something you'd given me
it's frustrating but, that smile you showed me in the end is so dear
it pierces my heart, I can't forget

in the corners of the changing days I held onto forever
I was looking for you, just like on that day
always in the distance, everytime the long winter comes around
they'll gather, even as far as tears

I can't forget
arm in arm, we felt winter's path closer than anybody
forgetting the time you were always beside me
the warmth of your kiss will gently fade away
so I'll be chilled right to my heart

I love the heavy rythym of this song, it's a nice juxtaposition with the cold, white imagery. Has anyone else noticed that a lot of their sad songs seem to be centered around winter? Fuyu No Nioi, Snowflake, etc...apparently now that summer's over we're all either breaking up or already singleXD But I'm such a sucker for tragic love...<3

Finally, I translated Jun's article in October AnAn (yeah, it was a while ago, wanna fight about it?XD) it's partially an excuse to post some of his lovely picsX3

'08 Guy You Like

A person who gallantly, sublimely continues to face himself.
At the same time as being one of the members of Arashi, Matsumoto Jun-san appears before us in various different expressions as an
actor. A wild mountain-dweller, the airheaded son of a wealthy family...the characters he plays are always exquisitely alluring. He
won't be left without capturing girl's hearts, revel in that strong gravity to your heart's content!

Without question, Matsumoto Jun-san is dashing through the year 2008 more vividly than anyone else. The two successive movies he starred
in that were released recorded big hits. Furthermore, as part of Arashi he experienced a 5 big dome tour that toured the whole country.
They also undertook their second appearance as the main personality on 24 hour tv this summer. "Certainly, it feels like I did nothing
but run through this year. Although each and every memory was something really solid, if I think about it only in terms of time it
really is going by i the blink of an eye".
The speed he continues running at right now feels good.
"At any rate I won't look back right now. There was [Kakushi Toride (no San Akunin)], there was [Hana yori Dango], but rather than
thinking in connection to them I want to chase after the things that are right in front of my eyes. I want to keep running recklessly
on".
Matsumoto-san plunges onward while possessing a high awareness. It's exactly because there is a group called 'Arashi' that he can
maintain this motivation.
"I don't have any sensation of myself as an actor. Because Arashi is there long before that. Becausen there's a me because there's Arashi.
So, I feel like doing things properly on my own so that our group can stay in a good balance. But I don't have this kind of serious
conversation with the members, you know. It's always trivial things, so there isn't any good conversation that you could make into an
article (laughs)".
Also, in September the 2 years long-awaited Asia Tour starts.
"Right now we're at the step of maiking those preparations. Thinking about the live organization, starting the basic training. We're
simply busy with the work that people don't see!"
Speaking about the present being very full, concerning getting votes for 'the guy you like' he laughing says "It's embarrassing, but
I'm happy". Exactly what kind of image of the future lies ahead of his gaze that advances straight ahead forever?
"Although I have dreams for the future, as a rule I don't tell those things to people. Well, this is the truth okay. It's 3 characters
(laughs). I wonder if you get it?"

Ahhh, what a trickster;P he always likes to be so mysterious...but I think I can understand, I don't like telling people about plans sometimes because if I have to give up or change them then I feel embarrassed facing those people...^^; But I really wonder what those 3 characters could beXD That is, when my brain isn't fully occupied gazing dreamily at this last pic<3<3

Well, that's it for my kansha-sai (gratitude festival;), I hope you enjoyed it:) In other news, one of my best friends and I celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday (it's actually today, but she has a family thing today); I had a recipe for Thai chicken that my mother gave me when she was here in April, and to feel closer to her I decided to make it. We also made mashed potatoes, and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies:) Here's our spread:D

So yummy^^ Then we watched all sorts of things together, like Cat Street, Bull Fighting, 24hr tv, I Could Never be Your Woman, etc;) It was a really awesome thanksgiving, the best I've had in years, thank you honX3
Plus, I caught Ojiisan again! Sorry it's so blurry...^^;

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

But he's so fast these days! Scampering up and down those two trees with things in his mouth, chattering angrily at the rain, running along the fence;P Such a busy little fellowXD Stay warm this winter Ojiisan!:3
By the way, I saw Bloody Monday yesterday, and even if you aren't a Miura Haruma fan (but you are, aren't you? How can you resist...;P) it's definitely a must see. I was on the dge of my seat so long I had to sit and stare at the wall for five minutes after it was done to fully process everythingO_o I can't wait for the next episode, I love intrigue and psychological suspense:) Especially with a cute boy thrown in thereXD Oh, and I posted the last of my trip pics if you're interested^^
Also, thank you so much for all your supportive comments about being single. I did a lot of thinki9ng and I've decided to just have fun and not pay attention to it:3 I feel kind of hopeful now, thanks to your help^^ Anyways, enough of my rambling, please take care of yourselves this week as well, happy thanksgiving!:)

Maybe the three characters is "kazoku"? B/c in [info]capncosmo's latest translation, Jun said he thought he'd have a family by now when he was younger but now he wants to do that in his 30's. So maybe?

Thanks for translating!

Wow, happy 2nd anniversary!! \^0^/ Omedetou! You have worked so hard in the last 2 years providing us with endless translations. I'm always grateful. :D

I was just listening to Wasurerarenai rip and liked it and wondering what the song was about. And you have already translated it. Wonderful! Was that the sound of a flute in the middle? I kinda like it.

*Help pray for happy news about the new job*
