Grandma: There are meetings like these too. I think this is fortuitous...very happily. (writing)
[writing: They want to forever continue working their son's share in the tatami shop.]
Grandpa: We've gotten all choked up huh.

Aiba: It was kind of short ne, very quick-
Jun: It was a surprising short interval ne. (writing)
Grandma: But...you've become tired today right? (writing)
Jun: Oh, it was fun. (writing) Cause that was the first time, at the beginning I didn't know how tatami was constructed.
Grandpa: I'm thinking I can keep doing this for another 2-3 years...my shoulders don't hurt, my feet don't hurt,
or anything like that...I think maybe it's because I do this (dancing). (writing)
Aiba: That's right ne. It's a rejuvenating thing ne, Grandpa.

Grandpa: Um Ma-chan was extremely full of good energy ne. Saying he wanted me to let him do a little more ne.

Jun: It's that kind of feeling? {Letters from IwoJima}?
[writing: After this, a very important announcement from Arashi]

Aww, this was a really cute episode....and as a special treat the wonderful Tenjo-chan [info]tenjostyle made subs out of the best parts of it!XD First, the talk part at the beginning with the adorably tired Jun^_^
MU: Poor baby...:S
Youtube: So tired:3That's so hard, working 22 hours straight...I'm very worried about his health, I hope he takes care of himself...:S
And the talk at the end, where he talks about crying and makes me want to hug him really really bad...:3
MU: Kyaaa*w*
Youtube: Kawaii~:3 I want to watch it too, and NadaSouSou (which he mentioned in his radio show as being cry-worthy)...ah, it's so unbelievably sweet that he would just come out and say this...and Ohno gets scolded for butting inXD

Also, I translated some of Jun's latest articles<3

First is Tiara Girl...(hen na namae da yo ne?;P) Now, I wasn't sure if I had permission to post this scan, so instead I will post an icon I made of it, it's very similar to some scans Fybabe posted too, so credit to them, and hopefully no one will kill me>_< Perhaps people will recognize it...

Thought it's difficult, it's interesting! This is what's attached to enjoyable acting ne.

What are the common features and points of difference with you and "Yori"?
Yeah~...I don't know ne (laughs).

"Iku" Is a girl who's purity lies in her sincerity. What type of girl are you attracted to?
[I'm attracted to people who have something I don't have.]

What is the difference between [passion] and [love]?
[Passion is something that starts from somewhere unconscious.
Love is something that starts consciously.]

Have you had [discord] lately?
[I do. Like when I want to sleep another 5 minutes...(laughs).]

What are your mvoie recommendations for winter?
[[BokuImo]!! You know it will be able to give you warm feelings.]

After this it's a rush of events.
What is your way to pass this eventful season?
[Partying with friends!
Gathering noisily en masse.]

I love my little sister...
The title itself tells a tale, a story of forbidden love!

The 6 million selling big hit comic has, bittersweetly to the point of striking your heart, beautifully been
turned into the long awaited movie version! Continuing his reputation of high level acting ability in his role of
Yori, the older brother of a set of twins with both attractive face and figure and excellent grades, who holds
feelings for his younger twin sister that have no hope of ever being requited, is Matsumoto Jun.
[The first time I heard about the offer of the role of Yori, frankly I thought {This is hard huh~}. This piece
has forbidden love as the theme doesn't it. Because, in actuality, I could never think of myself being in that
position ne. But in actuality, when I read Director Andou's screenplay I thought {This is interesting huh~}. At the
time I read the screenplay I thought it would become a different piece than the original. The meaning being, it
became a feeling of creating the piece from the very beginning ne.]
It seems that in the zealous discussion he entered into with Director Andou on set he displayed various approaches
to acting it. However that's also what you would expect of Matsumoto-san's hesitant, unique shooting style.
[There were many actors of the same generation as me, it was a fun set where everyone went at their own pace. To the
point where if I wasn't talking there was silence, awfully 'one's own pace' (laughs). That's right, that's right,
with no monitor checking! At the beginning there were parts that bothered me ne. But I was able to become accustomed
to it right away. Since I had confidence in the staff.]
His first solo starring role, and acting magnificently the theme of "pure love, in part because there's definitely
no way of being bound together", finding yet another new charm, furthermore having added to that radiance his appearance
itself is overflowing with it.
[{BokuImo} will become an extremely valuable piece with regards to me, I think. The scene in the first half where
Yori and Iku are linked together was a hard part, a scene with much contemplation. I think the people who view
it may also be able to grasp the stance of this piece. I want to go forward from here as well widening my involvement
with many people without getting caught up on various things ne.]

Hehe, I want to party too!XD Especially if it's the kind of party like in Dazed and Confused...XD I hope BokuImo turns out to be only good things for him>_<

Now, January Wink-up? I think it's January, but I don't remember...^^; Again, don't think I'm allowed to post the full scan, so instead I'll put a little chunk and hope everyone recognizes it:3 Credit to whoever scanned it!<3

Thanx

Looking back at this year? ...I won't look back (laughs). Cause I have a rule against looking backward (laughs).
Therefore, speaking of my recent state, [Hana yori Dango 2] starting up, doing the rehearsals for Korea (performance)
...is the feel of it I guess. Ah, that's right, tomorrow I'm playing soccer. With everyone in Arashi. Although
there isn't much eagerness on my part...I want to try it and see (laughs). Something like that I guess (laughs).
December huh...Ah! At the time when this Wink-Up will be on sale I'll be going to New York. A one-shot, sleepless
restless tour for the [HanaDan] locations (laughs). The first episode is a 2 hour 15 minute special, that's the
shoot we're going for.
Speaking of which ne, it's amazing. The script's also really heavy. What kind of story is this! I thought with
surprise (laughs). When we started the shooting, as you would think [HanaDan] was interesting. Cause you know,
before the start-up I contributed to the meet and greet and met everyone. The staff as well were mostly unchanged,
there was kind of an extreme "sense of return".]
How was trying to play Doumyouji again after a year?
As you would think ne, I was su~per nervous (laughs). The place we started up again, was a spot in the city where\
I live that was very cramped. Cause we started all crowded in together in a place where the ceiling was low too. Though
I was thinking, since it was the first day, that it would be a super high-tension and exciting beginning, but it
was kind of a [Please be quiet] atmosphere we started in...(laughs). That was surreal ne (laughs).
Since a year has passed since the first season, and we have also changed in that year's time, and since we want
to also view the growth of a year in that way, "How do you depict that '1 year interval'?" so to speak, is what
our first goal was ne. Because entering into that tension is extremely easy, we're able to return to that area
right away. In actuality, even when reading the script the sense of [This is how this goes] really rises to the
surface. Only, it's not just that ne. Since there is the passing of a year, there are also changes inherent in
that. The parts of Doumyouji that have changed? Speaking of the biggest change...that would be becoming fluent ne,
in English. It's dangerous...I have to work hard (laughs). Right now, (in preparation for the solo performance)
I'm studying Korean together with English.
I guess there's nothing to be done huh...I'll try and look back on this year (laughs)? This year ne, was thick!
Cause no matter how you put it, we did an extreme amount of work this year. January was...what was I doing again?
Ah~! In the New Year we went to Hawaii ne (laughs). With that as our only break, we were always doing locations
for the regular TV shows right? Then, from the end of February to March I was shooting [Extremely Curious Tales
(Se ni mo kimyou na monogatari)]. Right away when that finished we did the start-up for the movie [BokuImo~]. When
the movie was over I was memorizing the script for the play [Night of the Valkyries], practising...then the real
performance of the play. While I was doing the play the shooting for the movie [Yellow Tears] started...when that
shooting ended, right away I was doing the rehearsals for the summer tour, cause right from the start of July
we were doing lives. When I think about it...that was the way the whole~ summer was (laughs). In August the Japanese
tour ended, 2 days after that was the rehearsals for the Taiwan performance right? And the rehearsals for the Korea
performance, very soon the real thing! Somehow ne...it was a really surprising period.
Looking back now...ne? Although of course when you take each thing individually the time really adds up. It was a year
unlike any before, doing theatre and concerts ne. In terms of theatre, it was doing movies and dramas and plays.
Well...because it was great for me to be moving this much, it was fun. Concerts too, although there's probably
also the year-end Johnny's Countdown concert...eventually, that's where we return to Johnny's. In the end, you would
say we end in the Idol framework ne (laughs)? While doing a lot of things in a lot of places, finally being in the Tokyo
Dome thinking [We're Idols after all huh~]...that's the end of 1 year as an Idol ne (laughs). After that a little sleep,
cause the rehearsals for the Triumphant Return Perfomances are planned for right when the new year starts ne~...
It was kind of, an extremely thick, good year ne.

Jun Matsumoto

Boy, it really does seem like a lot when he lists it like that....^^; And he doesn't mention all the tv appearances, radio shows, interviews, photoshoots....he's amazing:3 When I read thigns like this it makes me want to work harder too, complain less, shine like a star too:D I hope he gets a good rest at New Year's, if anyone deserves it it's him!XD <3

Plus, Tenjo-chan shared some pics of the boys' Xmas greetings and asked for translations, and I will post them here too<3 First is Potato:

Thank you, dear! :) Those were lovely translations! ^^ It's funny how there is no escape to Jun's Do-S-ness (re:MMA talk), especially now with him having to be in character for Domyouji.

I like the personalized Christmas cards (Nino's messages are veryyy..Game Nikki-like ><). Don't get me wrong, I love everyone in Arashi--but I can't help catching the Nino bug that's been buzzing around lately (saw Iwo Jima last Thursday--I'm so proud of him to be part of that production T_T). What was up with the hand gesture that he did in the Mago Talk? O_o

2006 was such an exhilarating year for Arashi. They worked soooo hard this year and I'm glad it paid off. Hopefully, 2007 would be good to them.

Good job, as usual, nyanchan. Argiatou! m(_ _)m

Oh, you saw IwoJima alread?? Wow, how was it?:0 Even the other guys didn't get what he was doing with that hand gesture, my best guess is he was being facetious about horning in on Ken-san's screen-time?:S
They did ne, they must be feeling a mixture of exhaustion and excitement^^ I hope they take care, and rest up for another banner yearXD

Sleepy Jun is soooooo adorable. I love that moment of absolute confusion on his face when Aiba mentioned that his birthday was coming. His sleepy brain couldn't process the information fast enough. Ahhh. So cute. *starry eyes*

You know, I never felt that watching how hard other people worked would spur me to work harder, but I feel that way for Arashi. They make me want to do my best in everything.

Yet, even though I'm very happy their popularity is increasing and that more and more people are liking them, I worry that they work too hard. 2007 will be a busy year for them, what with Kiiroi Namida and their numerous concerts.

I felt the same until I met Arashi...it never mattered to me how others were doing in comparison to myself, but they've inspired me:)
And they just finished a really busy year too...I know the point is to strike while the iron is hot, but they're only human after all, I hope they will be careful of their health and well-being:S

And damn, Jun was a busy boy this year! I guess cuz that Monogatari TV sp seemed like last year, but all of that, including his butai, was this year. The year seems really long when I think of all that Arashi did!

and yet, it feels like I didn't do much at all... LOL!

The boys truly give me inspiration to work harder. I don't know where they get their energy from.

Jun always has so many questions. Even in Xmas greetings? :S He signed it with a J inside a circle at the top. I guess he has no place to sign? And Nino cracks me up!! That boy. XDD

woooow, nyanchan, I LOVE YOU. thanks for this wonderful translation.
this MMA was sad. i nearly cried too. if Jun had cried then, i would have cried so loud too. thank god for that.
oh my god, jun is such a girl. he he he, cried for a movie and more than ten sheets of klinex? that is my job. he is such a sensetive person but you would not believe this if you see his DoS side.
plus, junbaby is a dream husband. likes to cook and clean the kitchen and do the washing up? (not so good with kids though, well, if your kitchen is taken care of, i guess kids problem would be easy to handle. ne). out of all kitchen works, washing up dishes is my favourite task.
yes, i am going to work as hard as Jun this coming year. when i think a bout his works, i think i am really a lazy person comparing to him and he is much younger. working hard on my japanese from now on.
thanks again.

Ah~, you're very welcome!XDD
It was sad ne...poor jiichan and baachan, losing their son:S I thought maybe Jun shed a tear, but it was really hard to tell so I'm still not sure..^^;
Hehe, I lvoe that he's so conrtadictory like thatXD DoS/Nakimushi, it's twice the cuteness for the price of one;P
Hmm...I can't say I like cleaning, but dishes are the least odious of all the kitchen tasks, so I guess I don't mind it;) When I heard he liked it I was amazed!;)
Ganbatte ne~:)

LOL I was soooo BSJKABSKJBAJHSBAHJVSJHAVS;BSKJABSJKBAKSJ;BSKJABSKJABKS seeing Jun dancing *dies*

Thanks a bunch for the MMA translation. Also thanks for the card translation. LOL Oh-chan. Immediately recognizing his by the peace-sign XD And Nino as usual, being cold but to me it's still cute XDDDD *brainwashed by Mr. Kitagawa*

nyanchan, I made a sub again out of your old translation, it's to the first Arashi no Totsugeki (no one hasn't subbed it yet ne?). I hope you don't mind :)

Here you go : http://www.sendspace.com/file/uea6a5
Is it okay if I post it in [info]onlyarashifiles again?

LOL I just understand everything after reading your translation for that episode. Sho is so strict ne, completely the opposite of free-willing Aiba X] And the "it's the worst" from the seasick-Nino at the end of the episode is so priceless XDDDD

Thanks again :D I hope you don't mind I keep making subs out of your translations (if you do, please tell! m(_ _) ). It's more enjoyable watching those shows with your complete translations ♥

Hehe, it was chou kawaii ne~XDD
My pleasure;P Kitagawa-san has us all by the wallet ne...XD
Ah, thank you, it's very good=) Sure, that's fine;)
I'm glad it helped, Sho and Aiba would make the worst pair of parents ever it seems;P Sho would say no and the kids would go to Aiba and he'd just give in!XD Haha, and Nino's seasickness...why was he the only one?;)
You're welcome, no I don't mind=) This way it's easier for everyone to enjoy ne;)

Thank you so much for the wonderful translation ^^ I really like that episode of MMA..I only understand bits and pieces of the conversations when I watched it before, but definitely got the "ero-kappa" part XD The needle part is quite expected LOL~~ eventhough it turned out not to be Aiba-chan's fault, but he's just too curious for his own good XDD~
